This tour is sold out for Christmas 2017

22 December: Arrival
Arrival at Kittilä airport and transfer to your hotel. After a meeting with your guide to explain the days ahead, collect your outer thermal clothes for use during your stay - thermal winter suit, winter boots, woollen socks, inner and outer gloves, winter hat and balaclava. Dinner in the hotel.

23 December: Santa and his Elves, Cookie Baking, Winter Village and lunch in an Ice Restaurant
After breakfast we are straight off on our hunt for Father Christmas. By snowmobile sled, we zoom out into the forest to find his secret hide out. A warming kota, or spcaious Lappish tent with open fire, awaits us, where we will feast on pancakes and hot drinks, before Santa's Elves lead us through the forest for your private family visit with Santa himself.

In the afternoon, we head out to the local reindeer farm by bus. There we visit the Winter Village Snow Hotel - after enjoying lunch in the Ice Restaurant, we take a short tour of the snow hotel, with its snow rooms, ice bar and ice sculptures. A short walk then takes us to the reindeer farm, where you can try your hand at lasso-throwing and learn about the local Sami life, and the importance and place of reindeer in traditional culture, in the small museum. After taking a 1.5km reindeer sled ride through the silent forest, it's time to pat and feed the reindeer before saying our goodbyes. Who knows, maybe Rudolph or Dasher will be there! Dinner in the hotel.

24 December: Handicrafts by the Fire, Husky Safari and Special Christmas Eve Dinner
After breakfast, we head to a nearby large kota, where both children and adults can make a charming little keepsake elf to take home. We will also write or draw our Christmas wishes, before sending them up to the sky on the open flames of the fire, while toasting marshmallows and enjoying hot chocolate. Then after a break for lunch, it's off to the husky farm, with a tour of the farm and a chance to have a cuddle with some of the young pups. A 6km dog sled safari follows, with adults having the chance to "mush" their own team, whilst children sit snug and safe in a sled pulled by your guide.

Tonight the festivities continue with a very special Christmas buffet -  watch out for the surprise guest of the night, with a sack full of presents and a small gift for everyone.

25 December: Christmas Day Snowmobile time!
After breakfast, relax and spend Christmas morning at leisure, with some quality time as a family. Lunch at the hotel, then in the afternoon, we head out on the snowmobiles, adults driving their own machines, with two sharing and the chance to swap drivers half way through, while the little ones are pulled in a sleigh behind the guide's snowmobile, snuggled in blankets. The safari takes you 20km through the snowy landscapes,  before returning to the hotel for a festive Christmas Day evening buffet.

26 December: Snow fun, baking and crafts
This morning after breakfast, it's time for some snowfun! Try your hand at snowshoeing, cross country skiing, or tobogganing, and for the children there is the chance to drive their own mini snowmobile (under supervision).  Lunch in the hotel, and then this afternoon we bake traditional Finnish gingerbread cookies and make Christmas stockings, before dinner in the hotel.
