Day 1 Arrival in Reykjavik
On  arrival in Reykjavik transfer by airport coach to your hotel. Time to explore -perhaps visit the Blue Lagoon or enjoy  the city's many museums and shops. Reykjavik has many wonderful museums including the National Museum displaying artefacts from the first settlement to the modern age, giving an excellent overview of Iceland’s history and culture, the Reykjavik 871+2 Settlement Museum, an archeological museum based around a 10th-century Viking longhouse unearthed in 2001, the Reykjavik Art Museum and the National Gallery.

In the evening  join a hunt for the Northern Lights, also known as the Aurora Borealis. These lights are a spectacular natural phenomenon, often seen dancing in fantastic colours across the Icelandic night sky. Please note this tour is weather dependent, and sightings are not guaranteed. If conditions do not allow the operation of this excursion instead you will visit the Northern Lights Center in Reykjavik and a short city tour by coach. Overnight in Reykjavik at Icelandair Hotel Natura.

Day 2 Golden Circle Tour - Traditional Icelandic Christmas Buffet
After breakfast, meet your guide at the hotel at 09:30. Today you will experience a trio of natural wonders along the Golden Circle route in South Iceland.  Highlights include the breathtaking Gullfoss waterfall, which is often frozen mid-cascade during winter; the active Geysir geothermal area of bubbling mud pools, hot springs and spouting geysers; and Thingvellir National Park (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) Iceland's greatest historical site.  Thingvellir is also of tremendous geological interest, as it is the visible location of the mid-Atlantic Ridge where the Eurasian and North American tectonic plates meet.

In the evening enjoy an Icelandic Christmas feast at Restaurant Satt.  The true yuletide spirit is delivered with a deluxe gourmet buffet of distinctive heritage dishes based on local and Scandinavian ingredients. Restaurant Satt is a contemporary restaurant located within the hotel and is known for it's modern twist on traditional dishes. Overnight in Reykjavik.
