Travel by ferry from the charming and ancient town of Tallinn, across the fabled Baltic Sea to the Finnish capital Helsinki, then by coach across the border to the showpiece of imperial Russia; magnificent St Petersburg. All of the fabulous excursions in the itinerary are included in the tour price.

DAY 1 ARRIVAL TALLINN
Arrival in Tallinn, transfer from the airport to Radisson Blu Olympia or similar. Check-in; welcome meeting for an introduction to your fellow travellers.

DAY 2 TALLINN: CITY SIGHTSEEING, KADRIOG PARK & KUMU ART MUSEUM
Tallinn is a charming blend of medieval tranquillity and modern urban life. The medieval Old Town is busy in summer with its shops, galleries, souvenir markets, outdoor cafés and restaurants. The sightseeing tour takes us around the old medieval city walls and into the Old Town where we see Toompea Castle, the Dome Church, Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, medieval Old Town Hall and Great Guild Hall. 
Afternoon excursion to Kadriorg Park with a visit to the Estonian Art Museum KUMU, including it's collections of classic and contemporary fine art. The evening offers an optional medieval dinner at Restaurant Peppersack.

DAY 3 TALLINN: LAHEMAA NATIONAL PARK - HELSINKI: FERRY THROUGH THE ARCHIPELAGO
Morning excursion to Lahemaa National Park, visit Palmse Manor, a memorial to the von Pahlen family, and Sagadi Manor. The tour ends with a visit to the charming 16th century Vihula Manor and the Vodka Museum. After a lunch breakf, we head back to Tallinn to take the afternoon ferry through the Finnish archipelago before arriving in Helsinki. Transfer and check-in to the Hotel Glo Art or similar.

DAY 4 HELSINKI: CITY TOUR & SEURASAARI MUSEUM
Helsinki is truly located at the crossroads of Western and Eastern culture and this is reflected everywhere in the green and lively Finnish capital. The sightseeing tour takes us around the harbours, the Senate Square with the Lutheran Cathedral, up central Mannerheim Street, past the Parliament Building, Finlandia Hall, the Sibelius Monument and then for a visit to the famous Church-in the-Rock. 
Afternoon excursion to Seurasaari Open-Air Museum, an oasis in the midst of the city with cottages, farmsteads and manors from across Finland, for a fascinating glimpse of life in past times.

DAY 5  HELSINKI-ST. PETERSBURG VIA VYBORG CASTLE
Today we continue eastbound to St. Petersburg. Shortly after crossing the border into Russia we arrive in Vyborg, where we take time for a short sightseeing tour and a photo stop at Vyborg Castle. In the late afternoon we arrive in St. Petersburg and check-in at Hotel Sokos Vasilievsky or similar. Take a stroll around the canals and wide streets of this former Imperial capital.

DAY 6 ST. PETERSBURG: IMPERIAL CITY SIGHTSEEING & CATHERINE'S PALACE, AMBER ROOM
St. Petersburg is an amazing city. Its imperial palaces and museums enjoy worldwide fame, while the Neva River and the many canals have deservedly given the city the title 'Venice of the North'. During the morning's sightseeing we get acquainted with all the splendours of the city: Peter-Paul Fortress, the Winter Palace, St. Isaac’s Cathedral, the Church of the Bleeding Saviour, Nevsky Convent and much more.  Afternoon visit to Zarskoye Selo with the impressive Catherine’s Palace and the beautiful Amber Room, which vanished during World War II and was restored for St. Petersburg’s tri-centennial celebrations. In the evening enjoy a visit to the Nikolaevsky Palace with an exciting Russian folklore show, with Russian drinks and snacks.

DAY 7 ST. PETERSBURG:  PETERHOF PALACE & HERMITAGE MUSEUM
Morning visit to P
eterhof - an uncontested masterpiece of the time of Peter the Great, with the impressive Grand Palace, Grand Cascade, Water Avenue and many wonderful gardens and parks. In the afternoon a visit to the world-famous Hermitage Art Museum is offered. This treasure filled palace is filled with countless works of art and historical masterpieces. In the evening enjoy an optional Russian dinner at Restaurant Russian Kitsch

DAY 8 ST. PETERSBURG DEPARTURE
Transfer from hotel to the airport.
