DAY 2 COPENHAGEN - OSLO: CITY SIGHTSEEING AND OVERNIGHT FERRY TO OSLO
Copenhagen is Scandinavia’s largest and most lively city and one of Europe’s most romantic capitals with its old castles and churches and charming squares and harbours. The morning sightseeing tour will acquaint us with all the city’s treasures: the Little Mermaid guarding the port, the Royal Castle, Nyhavn with its restaurants and small boats and the City Hall Square.  Afternoon departure for embarkation on the overnight ferry bound for Oslo. Buffet dinner onboard, with bars and shops to enjoy.

DAY 3 OSLO - GEILO: SIGHTSEEING IN THE VIKING CAPITAL AND MOUNTAIN RESORT
Founded in 1048, Oslo is Scandinavia’s oldest capital and today it is also a very pleasant and casual city with an interesting jumble of historical and modern architecture. Upon arrival in Oslo we start the morning sightseeing tour with a walk around Frogner Park, decorated with the unique sculptures of Gustav Vigeland. We then pass by City Hall and the main street, Karl Johan, which leads to the Royal Palace. In the early afternoon we continue on to the beautiful Hallingdal Valley.  Visit Gol before our arrival in Geilo; a small town surrounded by mountains. Check-in at Dr Holm's Hotel. Tonight dinner at the hotel is included.

DAY 4 GEILO - BERGEN: VALLEYS, MOUNTAINS,  FJORDS AND WATERFALLS
Today we enter more breathtaking Norwegian nature, as we continue through Hallingdal Valley, known for its folkloric traditions. We cross the Hardanger mountain plateau and on the descent towards the fjord, pass famous Voringsfossen Waterfall. After a short ferry crossing, we continue along its shoreline to Bergen. Situated on a peninsula and surrounded by 7 mountains, the history of Bergen is closely connected with the sea. This can be seen throughout the city, especially at the picturesque waterfront.  Afternoon sightseeing tour introduces us to this remarkable Hanseatic city with the Bryggen area of old wooden houses, the traditional Fish Market, St. Mary’s Church and Haakon’s Hall. Check-in at Hotel Scandic Oernen or similar.

DAY 5 BERGEN - STALHEIM: HANSEATIC TREASURES, GORGES AND STUNNING SCENERY
The morning is at your leisure to explore more of the stunning Norwegian fjord capital, in your own time. In the afternoon, we travel to historic Voss, which has a scenic background of snow clad mountains.  After a break here we continue towards the Naeroy Valley and Stalheim, offering a stunning view down the Stalheim Gorge. Check-in at Hotel Stalheim.  This evening, dinner at the hotel is included.

DAY 6 STALHEIM - FLAM - FAGERNES:  FAMOUS MARVELS OF FLAMSBANEN RAILWAY
Onwards through the fjord region with its formidable water-drowned glacial valleys, flanked by impossibly rugged terrain to Gudvangen, where we cross the Naeroyfjord and reach the village of Flam. Here you can take an optional trip on the magnificent Flam Railway, which is not only one of the world's most breathtaking rail journeys, it is also a masterpiece of engineering. (The Flam Railway is an optional extra that ispurchased locally only). In the afternoon continue along the Aurlandfjord. We have a photo stop at the famous Borgund Stave Church before travelling on to Fagernes. Check-in at Quality Hotel Fagernese or similar.  This evening, dinner at the hotel is included.

DAY 7 FAGERNES - OSLO: FJORDS AND NORWAY'S BEAUTIFUL CAPITAL
After breakfast we leave the majestic Norwegian fjords behind us and return to Oslo, for an early afternoon arrival. Check in at Hotel Thon Opera or similar. The rest of the day is at your leisure to further explore more of the Viking capital. Make sure you visit the lively old wharf area Bryggen with its many cafes, bars and restaurants.

DAY 8 OSLO- STOCKHOLM: FORESTS, LAKES AND LANDSCAPES
Today we head for Stockholm. Pass through Norwegian forests and cross the border, to enter the Swedish county of Varmland. Throughout the day we drive through typical, local landscapes with fertile farmland, blue lakes and thick forests, which evoke an atmosphere of intriguing fairytales. Afternoon arrival in Stockholm; check-in at Hotel Scandic Grand Central or similar.

DAY 9 STOCKHOLM; CITY SIGHTSEEING
Stockholm – the beauty on the water – is undoubtedly one of the loveliest capitals in the world. Built on 14 islands, it is protected from the sea by the Skargarden archipelago.
