One highlight after another awaits you on this trip through one of the most spectacular and fascinating sceneries in the World - with deep fjords, glaciers, picturesque villages and majestic mountains. This incredible journey includes the Hardangerfjord and Sognefjords, a visit to the foot of one of the most accessible glaciers in Norway, Nigardsbreen glacier, the famous Flam railway and the cities of Oslo and Bergen.

Day 1 Bergen Arrival
On arrival make your own way to your hotel. The remainder of day is at leisure in Bergen, the gateway to the fjords, before an evening welcome meeting with your tour leader.
Day 2 Bergen-Hardangerfjord-Stalheim
Morning 2 hour sightseeing tour of Bergen, including the popular fish market, and the historical wharf area of Bergen known as Bryggen. Then depart Bergen and head into the beautiful Hardangerfjord, known as the orchard of Norway because of it's fertile farmland, and continue via Voss to Stalheim, situated on the very top of the Nærøydalen Canyon with a panoramic view over the valley.
Day 3 Stalheim-Flam-Balestrand
Today drive the panoramic route from Stalheim to the idyllic village of Flåm, from where you will enjoy a leisurely fjord cruise to Gudvangen. Continue by coach to Vangsnes, crossing the Sognefjord, the longest and deepest fjord in Norway and arriving in Balestrand where you will stay for 2 nights.
Day 4 Balestrand: Glacier Day
Today visit the glaciers. Travel by ferry across the Fjærlandfjord, before reaching Jostedal Glacier and the Breheimsenteret Glacier Centre. The Jostedal Glacier is the largest glacier on the European mainland and the whole glacier as well as some of the nearby valleys form a vast National Park. You reach the glacier either by taking the ferry across a small lake or by walking for approximately 30-40 minutes from the car park to the glacier. Unlike many other glaciers, here you can get right up close! Then enjoy lunch and a visit to the Breheimsenteret Glacier Centre before returning to Balestrand.
Day 5 Balestrand-Flam-Myrdal-Oslo
Mid morning journey across the Sognefjord to Flåm, before boarding one of the most beautiful rail journeys in the world, the Flåm Railway, a spectacular train journey that offers a panoramic view of some of the wildest and most magnificent nature in the Norwegian fjord landscape. The Flåm Railway is one of the steepest train lines in the world, with almost 80% of the journey on gradient of 5.5%. On arrival at the mountain station of Myrdal change trains and travel on the Bergen Line to the Norwegian capital, Oslo, where you will stay for 2 nights.
Day 6 Oslo
Enjoy a 3 hour city tour of Oslo including Vigeland Scuplture Park with its 200 sculptures, a visit to the Holmenkollen ski jump for a fantastic view over the city, and a walk on the Opera house. Afternoon is at leisure to further explore Oslo's many museums including the Viking Museum and the Kon-Tiki Museum, or relax in the cafes and restaurants of the old wharf area.
Day 7 Oslo Departure
Arrangements end after breakfast.
