Discover the rocky archipelago of the Lofoten Islands, with mountains soaring right out of the ocean; Lapland, home of the Sami people, and finally the North Cape.

Day 1 Arrival Bodø
On arrival in Bodo make your own way to your hotel. The remainder of the day is free for you to explore before an evening welcome meeting with your tour leader and fellow guests.
Day 2 Bodo- Svolvaer
Today we leave Bodo and travel by ferry across the Vestfjord to Lofoten. Lofoten is a very special archipelago with mountains soaring right out of the ocean, and numerous pretty fishing villages dotted around the valleys. We visit Lofotr, the reconstruction of a Viking chieftain’s homestead, as well as the picturesque fishing village of Nusfjord (listed on the UNESCO World Heritage register).
Day 3 Svolvaer- Lofoten-Harstad
This morning enjoy a fantastic excursion by boat into the breathtaking narrow Trollfjord, which is surrounded by steep mountains of up to 1,000 metres in height. Eagles are often seen in the area as well as other wildlife. In the afternoon we continue our journey through the Loftoten Islands towards Harstad, a charming city located at the entrance to Vesterålen and Lofoten islands.
Day 4 Harstad- Tromso
This morning we travel from Harstad to Tromsø, one of the northernmost cities in the world. You can explore the city on your own or you can take an excursion on the Hurtigruten ferry on a beautiful roundtrip through the breathtaking landscape from Harstad to Tromsø.
Day 5 Tromso- Alta
From Tromso we travel across two lovely fjords, to reach the town of Alta. Time to explore - the long history of Alta dates back more than 7000 years, when indigenous settlers created many fabulous rock carvings. We suggest you visit Alta Museum for exhibitions and information about these fascinating rock carvings. Close to the museum is the largest of the five open-air rock art sites in Alta, inscribed on the UNESCO’s World Heritage List.
Day 6 Alta- Honningsvag
Today we travel to the northernmost point of Europe and into Honningsvåg.Time at leisure then after dinner we travel to the North Cape for a stunning view of the Arctic Ocean and the midnight sun (weather permitting!) All guests will enjoy a glass of champagne and receive a North Cape Certificate.
Day 7 Honningsvag- Hammerfest -Alta
Today we journey back down South, with a visit to Hammerfest, the northernmost town in mainland Europe and the gateway to the Barents Sea. We visit The Royal and Ancient Polar Bear Society, devoted to the town’s mascot and heraldic crest.
Day 8 Departure
Arrangements end after breakfast.
