Today from Tórshavn travel along the coast through colourful villages, crossing 'the bridge over the Atlantic' and continue to the northern most village on the island of Eysturoy, Gjógv, known for its unique natural harbour and Crown Princess Mary’s bench. Among other things, here you will see classic sea cliffs, the rock formations 'the Giant and the Witch' and the highest mountain in the islands, Slættaratindur at 882m. Lunch is served in cosy surroundings and then the tour continues via the village of Funningur to the idyllic village of Saksun, which lies picturesquely in a small fjord with high mountains on both sides. From Torshavn, drive via the mountain roads to the village of Vestmanna, to board a boat and sail out to the Vestmanna bird cliffs, and into and through several sea caves and grottoes– a fabulous experience. En-route back to Tórshavn, stop at an old viking farmstead in the beautiful and quaint village of Kvívík. Then return to Torshavn.

Day 4 Torshavn: Sandoy - Kirkjubøur
Day tour to the historic island of Sandoy, one of the most unspoiled islands, where you can still experience the old, Faroese way of life. Drive from Tórshavn over the mountains to the ferry harbour Gamlarætt to catch the  ferry. On the sailing across the sound enjoy the views of Hestur and Koltur. Once on Sandoy, enjoy a church visit, fantastic view points, small villages and bird cliffs. A bag lunch is eaten en-route. The final stop is at the cultural centre of Kirkjubøur. Then return to Torshavn.
