This tour takes you to 2 of Sweden's smaller cities, Malmo and Gothenberg. Malmo is a small and friendly city offering a selection of cultural attractions, quality restaurants, bistros and cafes. You can explore Malmo by boat through its canals, on foot or by bike. Gothenberg  is the second largest city in Sweden and offers a variety of interesting sightseeing attractions. 

Day 1 Arrival in Malmo & Transfer to Hotel
Upon arrival at the airport, transfer to your hotel.  Accommodation at Renaissance Hotel Marriott or similar for 2 nights with daily breakfast. The remainder of the day and evening are at leisure. 

Day 2 Malmo: Sightseeing By Boat: Optional Evening Walking Tour
Today enjoy a sightseeing tour by boat. Travel through the canals and under the bridges and see Malmo from another side, while your guide tells you about the city's history, architecure, people and stories. There are regular departures throughout the day, from approximately 10:30 - 16:30hrs. The remainder of the afternoon and evening are at leisure. You might like to rent a bike and take a ride through Malmö, the perfect bicycle city with generous bike lanes and clear signage. You can also cycle to the lookout for views of the famous Öresund Bridge. 

This evening you can take an optional 2hr walking tour with a local private guide, to explore the hidden gems of Malmo. At it's heart is the historic market square of Stortorget, created in 1540 and, at 2,500 square metres, the largest and oldest square in Malmö, and once the largest in Northern Europe. Nearby Lilla Torg is a lively area of cafes and alfresco dining places- from here, stroll the streets lined with old half-timbered wooden houses to reach Gamla Staden, the Old Town. 

Day 3 Malmo - Gothenburg By Train
After breakfast this morning, private transfer from your hotel to the Malmo train station, for your journey to Gothenburg.  Upon arrival in Gothenburg transfer to your hotel. Accommodation at Opera Hotel or similar for 3 nights with daily breakfast The remainder of the afternoon and evening is at leisure. 

Day 4 Gothenburg: SIghtseeing By Boat and Hop On/Hop Off Bus
Today step aboard a sightseeing boat in the centre of the city to see the old moat and canals that date from the 17th century, and cruise beneath the many low bridges, including the extremely low Osthyveln ("cheese slicer") bridge, emerging into the fascinating harbour with it's traditional shipyards, fishing boats and maritime museum.  There are regular boat departures throughout the day, from approximately 10:30 - 17:00hrs. Also today explore Gothenburg and its sights at your own pace on the Hop on/ Hop off Bus Tour. The bus stops at carefully chosen spots including Avenyn, Liseberg, Feskekorka and many other  sights.There are regular bus departures throughout the day, until approximately 14:00hrs.

Day 5 Gothenburg: Day at Leisure or Optional Tours
The day is at leisure or you may wish to take advantage of some of the optional excursions on offer as follows:

Sightseeing by sedan and driver/guide (3hrs). Explore the inner sights of Gothenburg and its area with an experienced local guide. Also visit the Volvo musuem with it's unique collection encompassing a wide range of passenger cars, buses, heavy trucks, marine engines and construction equipment and much more.

Dinner Cruise around Hisingen (4hrs). This tour of Sweden's fourth largest island Hisingen takes you past green meadows, barren cliffs, farmland and more, along the winding waterways of the rivers Göta and  Nordre and the Björkö Fjord, ending in Gothenburg’s beautiful and dynamic harbour. Restaurant and bar on board. Tuesdays- Saturdays.

Day 6 Gothenburg - Malmo
After breakfast, transfer to the train station for your train journey to Malmo, and upon arrival in Malmo, transfer to your hotel.  Accommodation at Renaissance Hotel Marriott or similar for 1 night. The remainder of the day and evening are at leisure. 

Day 7 Departure Malmo
Arrangements end wth your private transfer to Malmo airport.
