Explore the cultural highlights of these fantastic cities over 7 leisurely days. Enjoy a privately guided city sightseeing tour in each city, then add some great optional excursions to complete your explorations- the choice is yours. With the convenience of private airport and train station transfers in each destination, you have maximum time to see the many wonderful sights. The tour can also be done in reverse from St Petersburg to Moscow.

You can also add a visit to the Baltic cities of Tallinn, Riga and Vilnius to this tour, with a transfer from St Petersburg by private car and driver to Tallinn, to begin our Journey Through the Baltics tour.

Day 1 Moscow Arrival 
On arrival in Moscow, transfer to your hotel by private car and check-in. Moscow, the Mother of Russia, is a genuine Russian city with the Kremlin and its onion domed cathedrals. The dramatic changes over the last decade have made the city one of the most dynamic metropolis in the world.

Day  2 Moscow City Sightseeing & Optional Pushkin Museum, Novodevichy Cathedral or Kremlin visits
After breakfast, meet your guide at your hotel for your privately guided, 3 hour Moscow sightseeing tour, which includes all the highlights of this vast city - Red Square, Theatre Square with the Bolshoi Theatre, Sparrow Hills with Moscow University and more.

In the afternoon perhaps enjoy one of the great optional excursions offered as follows:

Pushkin Museum 3 hrs. The most representative collection in Russia of foreign art, from ancient  to modern.

Novodevichy Cathedral 3 hrs. Founded in 1524, with the white Smolensk Cathedral and its sumptuous interior covered in 16th-century frescoes.

Kremlin including one of the cathedrals 3 hrs - overlooking the Moskva River to the south, Saint Basil's Cathedral and Red Square to the east, and the Alexander Garden to the west, it is the best known of the kremlins and includes five palaces, four cathedrals, and the enclosing Kremlin or fortifications. 

Day 3 Moscow: Optional Pushkin Museum, Novodevichy Cathedral, Kremlin or Sergiev Posad visits
Today explore on your own or take another the wonderful optional excursions available. In addition to those listed above, today you can also take the longer excursion to visit  Sergiev Posad and the Trinity of St Sergius, the most important Russian monastery and the spiritual heart of the country. Last year the monastery celebrated the 700th anniverary of St Sergius (6 hours)

Day 4 Moscow - St Petersburg by Train
After breakfast, transfer to the Moscow central railway station by private car, and board the train bound for St. Petersburg. On arrival in St Petersburg, transfer by private car to your hotel, check in and relax.

Day 5 St Petersburg City Sightseeing & optional Hermitage Museum, St Isaac's Cathedral, Peterhof Palace or Catherine's Palace visits
St. Petersburg is an amazing city. Its imperial palaces and museums enjoy worldwide fame, while the Neva River and the many canals have deservedly given the city the title “The Venice of the North”. During the morning 3 hour, privately guided  sightseeing tour,  get acquainted with all the splendours of the city: the Peter-Paul Fortress, the Winter Palace, St. Isaac’s Cathedral, the Church of the Bleeding Savior, the Nevsky Convent and much more.  

In the afternoon, you can add one of the fabulous optional St Petersburg excursions available as follows:

The Hermitage Museum 4 hrs -  formerly the Czar´s Winter Palace, includes Old Masters, State Rooms of the Winter Palace and Impressionists´ Exhibition.

St Isaac's Cathedral 3 hrs - Russia's largest cathedral with a magnificent gilded dome and impressive interiors.

Day 6 St Petersburg  Day at Leisure

Explore the Imperial City on your own today, or delight in another of the optional activities offered. 

Peterhof Palace 5 hrs - an uncontested masterpiece of the time of Peter the Great, with the impressive Grand Palace, Grand Cascade and Water Avenue and its wonderful parks.

Zarskoye Selo and Catherine's Palace 5 hrs - the delightful town of Pushkin and impressive Catherine’s Palace, completer with Amber Room. This vanished during World War II, but was restored for St. Petersburg’s tri-centennial celebrations. 

Day 7 St Petersburg Departure
After breakfast, arrangements end with your transfer by private car to the airport.
