This morning make your own way to the railway station to take the train from Stockholm, across the heart of Sweden, over the famous Oresund Bridge and on to Copenhagen. (The train takes 5-6 hours). On arrival, make your own way to your hotel. Copenhagen is Scandinavia’s largest, most lively city and is one of Europe’s most romantic capitals. With its old castles and churches, charming squares and harbours, the city is a delight. The Little Mermaid can be seen guarding the port, then there's the Royal Castle, and the waterside area Nyhavn with many restaurants, cafes, bars and small boats. Perhaps visit the palaces Amalienborg and Christiansborg, or from mid April to late September, visit the fun filled Tivoli Gardens. 2 nights in Copenhagen at Comfort Hotel Vesterbro or similar.

The train ride finishes at the charming fjordside village of Flam, nestled deep in Aurlandsfjord and surrounded by steep mountains. In the village you’ll find the award winning Ægir Brewery built in the style of a Viking longhouse and the Flam Railway Museum.
