Day 1: Arrival Stockholm
On arrival in Stockholm make your own way to your hotel. Accommodation at Hotell Kung Carl, or similar.

Day 2: Stockholm  Day To Explore
Breakfast at the hotel then the whole day is free to enjoy the many sights. We recommend a canal cruise or a visit to the Vasa Museum. The impressive warship Vasa sank on her maiden voyage in 1628 but was salvaged 333 years later in 1961. She has since been restored and can now be seen with her complete rigging at the Vasa Museum. Remember also to visit the famous old town, Gamla Stan, or one of the many other museums in Stockholm and enjoy sitting in the many bars, cafes and restaurants to watch the passing parade. Overnight at Hotell Kung Carl, or similar

Day 3: Stockholm - Gothenburg
After breakfast at the hotel, take the morning train from the central Stockholm railway station for the approximately 3 hour journey through the pleasant countryside of Southern Sweden towards Gothenburg.Gothenburg offers a variety of great attractions including beautiful flourishing gardens, many historic sites and buildings, lovely old churches and magnificent museums where you can see works by world famous artists. The nearby archipelago of Gothenburg stretches along the coast from the city so you don't have to travel far to find charming villages, stunning nature and beaches. Seal safaris, sea-fishing and boat excursions are just some of the activities available here. Accommodation at Clarion Hotel Post, or similar.

Day 4: Gothenburg
Today continue your exploration of the city. Gothenburg has some unique museums such as the Radio Museum, the Tram and Tramways Museum, and the Remfabik Museum with a fascinating, well preserved transmission factory dating from the 1930's. The city also has a strong maritime heritage - visit the floating maritime experience centre Maritiman with an armada of 19 museum vessels, for an opportunity to see and learn about U-boats, destroyers, mine-layers and fireboats, and also the Goteborg Ship, the world's larget sailing ship. Or take a boat cruise to the 17th century New Älvsborg Fortress. Perhaps visit the Botanical Garden with it's Rhododendron Valley, Japanese Glade and Rock Garden. And don't forget a visit to the Gothenburg Museum of Art which houses collections from the 15th century to today, with a Nordic emphasis. Accommodation at Clarion Hotel Post, or similar.

Day 5: Gothenburg - Malmö
This morning travel south along the West Swedish coast line on the 3 hour train ride to Malmö, a charming city which in recent years has developed into an exciting place with a strong focus on cultural offerings and innovative architecture.  In 2006 Malmö was certified as Sweden’s first Fairtrade City and this has encouraged organic and fair trade offerings ever since, so you can shop with a clear conscience and enjoy ethically produced food and drink. We recommend you pay a visit to Malmöhus Castle with it's unique collection. Take time also to just enjoy the atmosphere of this historic city. Accommodation at Clarion Hotel Live, or similar.

Day 6: Malmö
Today continue your exploration of Malmo or perhaps enjoy a side trip to Ystad, a 50 minute ride. Only a few cities in Scandinavia and Europe boast such a complete and ‘living’ picture of bygone days as Ystad. Many of the 300 half-timbered houses and other buildings are filled with restaurants and shops and the picturesque corners are alive with surprises and bargains.
Explore at leisure, before returning to Malmö. Accommodation at Clarion Hotel Live, or similar.
