Stay in a resort on a remote hilltop, surrounded by untouched nature, forests, hills, lakes and rivers, and enjoy a truly magical  arctic experience, with high quality accommodation and a choice of hotel rooms, suites or cottages.  Enjoy some wonderful winter fun including a Northern Lights Hunt, and Snowmobile, Husky and Reindeer safaris. You can also spend a night in a snow igloo,  where the temperature is a constant few degrees below zero!

Day 1 Arrival at Kuusamo, Oulu or Rovaniemi Airport and transfer to Iso-Syöte
On arrival at Kuusamo, Oulu or Rovaniemi airports transfer to your accommodation in Iso-Syöte. The remainder of the day is at leisure.

Day 2  Husky Safari and Evening Northern Lights Excursion
Today transfer to the husky farm where the husky dogs are eagerly waiting for you.  Meet the puppies and young dogs, then after a safety briefing and driving lesson, head off through the snowy forests and ice covered lakes surrounding the husky farm.  Along the way, enjoy lunch by the campfire.  Stops will be made to change drivers and to take photos during the safari. The duration of the safari is approximately 4-5 hours including transfers, with 30-40km of sledding, depending on the weather. (Those with younger children can take a shorter 3 hour/6km safari instead). Maximum 2 adults and 1 child per dog sled.

The remainder of the day is free to relax. This evening enjoy a 3 hour search for the Northern Lights, as you travel through the snow covered forests by snowmobile, with a stop at a campfire for a coffee. 2 persons per snowmobile.

Day 3  Day at leisure
Time at leisure today to explore the Iso-Syöte area further.  You may like to have a ski lesson or try snowboarding - there are ski and snow hire facilicites right next door.  Or perhaps relax at the hotel's spa.  Tonight, you can choose to have an optional overnight stay in a snow igloo where you will sleep on reindeer skins with a specially design sleeping bag.  While the temperature outside drops down, the temperature inside the igloo will remain at a constant few degrees below zero. This will be a memorable night!

Day 4 Reindeer Safari and Snowmobile Safari to Wilderness
This morning enjoy a ride in a reindeer sleigh - sit cosily in the sleigh while the reindeer does all the work!  Coffee and snacks are served in a Kota or traditional Lappish tent. In the afternoon, your snowmobile safari starts at the hotel, then takes you down hill and onwards along fells, through the forest, and over ice covered lakes.  A stop will be made at a campfire for coffee along the way.  The duration of the safari is 3 hours, depending on the weather. 2 persons per snowmobile.
