Accommodation at Hotel Arctic.

Day 2 Ilulissat: Icebergs of Sermermuit

Day 3 Glimpse of Local Life and Evening Northern Lights Hunt by Snowmobile
Today get a glimpse of traditional Greenlandic life, visiting one of the hunters settlements at Ilimanaq or Rodebay on a 6 hour excursion by boat. These small settlements are only accessible by boat or dog sled and are entirely dependent on fishing and hunting - a different world compared to that of nearby Ilulissat. Take a guided tour of the settlement and enjoy lunch with a local family, before returning to Ilulissat.

This evening enjoy a fabulous 2hr search for the Northern Lights by Snowmobile. This is a real Arctic experience - watch the Arctic sunset and enjoy breathtaking views, driving across icy ground, into the wilderness. No previous experience is required and you are accompanied at all times by an experienced guide. Light refreshments are included.

Day 4  Cruise to the Icefjord OR Dog-Sledding and Evening Northern Lights Snowshoe Walk
Today choose from a 2.5 hour Cruise to the Icefjord or a 2 hour dog sled safari. Ilulissat is world famous for its icebergs and a cruise provides the perfect opportunity to get close to these giant sculptures created by nature. Light refreshments included. OR you can go dog sledding - on this adventure leave the civilized world and enter an arctic wonderland of low passes, ice covered fjords and icebergs as you travel with 2 persons on each sled, the same way as the old polar explorers.

In the evening another opportunity to search for  the amazing Northern Light on a guided 2 hour snow shoe walk. Provided with a headlight walk safely into the landscape, accompanied by your guide who will tell you about this natural phenomenon and about the Inuit legends and traditions.
