Day 1 Kirkenes Arrival and King Crab Safari by Snowmobile Adventure
Upon arrival in Kirkenes, make your own way to your hotel and time at leisure. At 18:00hrs pick up from your hotel for a guided King Crab & Snowmobile Safari. Travel to the best fishing spot to catch the crabs and while the crabs are being cooked, enjoy an exciting guided snowmobile tour, travelling towards the Siberian taiga forest in Pasvik. 2 persons share the driving of each snowmobile. Then feast on the freshly cooked crabs, with a glass of white wine, coffee and tea. After this memorable meal transfer back to your hotel in Kirkenes at approximately 22:00hrs. (Please note that if weather conditions do not allow for snowmobiling we will catch crabs from the harbour instead).

Overnight at Scandic Hotel or similar.

Day 2 Dog-sledding & Snow Hotel overnight
This morning pick-up from  the hotel at about 10:00hrs for your dog-sledding safari. Transfer to the husky farm and after a brief driving lesson, enjoy the silence of the landscape while mushing your own dog team, (or you can be seated comfortably in the sled as a passenger). Feel the interaction between you and the dogs while being guided safely through the winter borderland. The driving distance is about 20-25km and the safari ends with a light lunch around an open fire.

Return to the hotel and check out, taking just a small overnight bag for tonight and leaving the rest of your luggage in storage at the hotel in Kirkenes.  At about 17.00hrs pick up at the hotel and transfer to the Snow Hotel. On arrival you will enjoy a welcome drink made from berries collected from the surrounding hills, whilst sitting in the fabulous Snow Bar.  Enjoy a fantastic 3 course dinner made from locally sourced produce, seated in the cosy restaurant around an open fire. After dinner maybe visit some of the resident reindeer  and step outside to search for the fabled northern lights, before retiring for a very different overnight!  Choose betweeen a Snow Igloo or a  wooden "Gamme" Cabin.

The Snow rooms are wonderful displays of snow architecture and Arctic nature, created each winter from local ice and snow, with ice sculptures, ice carvings and more. In your Snow Igloo you will sleep on a bed carved from ice, snuggled warmly in a thermal sleeping bag and blankets.

Or in the charming wooden cabin, inspired by the traditional hunting and fishing Gamme huts of the Artic, there is a large panoramic window  so you can gaze out in warmth and comfort, as you look for the Northern Lights. Whichever you choose, being so far away from light pollution makes this  a wonderful place to seek the magical Aurora Borealis.

DAY 3: Kirkenes Return and Hunt for the Northern Lights
