This great short tour takes you to the major cities of the Baltic Sea - Vilnius, Tallinn, Riga and Helsinki.

Day 1 Arrival Vilnius
Arrival in Vilnius. Make your own way to your hotel or there is an optional private transfer from the airport. Accommodation at Hotel Radisson Blu Lietuva or similar; check-in and early evening welcome meeting with your tour escort and fellow guests.

Day 2 Vilnius: Medieval Town Tour & Trakai Castle
Vilnius has over 1,200 medieval buildings and 48 churches. The morning town sightseeing tour offers a panoramic tour of the city and a walking tour of the Old Town, which includes Vilnius Cathedral, Gediminas Tower, Peter and Paul Church, St. Anne’s Church, Old University and the Gates of Dawn. The a
fternoon offers an optional excursion to Trakai, the medieval capital of Lithuania. Visit the well preserved Trakai Castle, beautifully located on an island in Lake Galve. In the evening you can enjoy an optional folklore dinner at Restaurant Belmontas.

Day 3 Vilnius-Riga: Hill of Crosses and Rundale Palace 
Heading for Riga, the first stop is the Hills of Crosses, one of the most holy sites of Catholic Lithuania. After crossing into Latvia,  we soon reach the magnificent Rundale Palace, the former summer residence of the Dukes of Courland. Following a guided tour of the palace, we travel through the rolling hills of Southern Latvia to reach Riga in the late afternoon.

Day 4  RigaGauja NP & Sigulda,  Ethnographical Open Air Museum & Organ Recital Dome Cathedral
This morning offers time at leisure in Riga or an exploration of medieval Latvia with an optional tour to the stunning scenery of the Gauja National Park and the town of Sigulda- here you can listen to the medieval Latvian legend of the Rose of Turaida and see the ruins of the Episcopal Castle and of the Castle of the Knights of the Sword. In the afternoon, there is an optional visit to the Ethnographical Open Air Museum, a spacious exposition of 18th Century country life.  In the evening you might like to join the optional organ concert at the lovely old Dome Cathedral.

Day 5 Riga: Town Walking Tour & Jurmala Seaside Resort 
Riga, founded in 1201 by the German bishop Albert, is the largest of the three Baltic capitals and boasts a real kaleidoscope of architectural styles. The morning walking tour of the Old Town includes Riga Castle, the Dome Cathedral, St. Peter’s Church, the Swedish Gate, the Three Brothers, the Large and Small Guilds and the Freedom Monument.  In the afternoon there is an optional visit to Jurmala, the vibrant Latvian sea resort, famous for its wooden architecture and sandy beaches.  In the evening you might like to enjoy the optional  Latvian dinner at the stylish Restaurant Forest.

Day 6 Riga-Tallinn: Parnu Summer Resort & Land of Forests
The tour  today continues along the coastal highway to the Estonian summer resort of Parnu. Here we enjoy a short tour of the resort, before we continue through the North Estonian forests to arrive in Tallinn in the early afternoon.
Accommodation at Hotel Radisson Blu Olympia or similar.

Day 7  Tallinn: Old Town Sightseeing, Kadriorg Park and KUMU Art Museum
Tallinn is a charming blend of medieval tranquillity and modern urban life. The medieval Old Town is a busy place in the summer with its many shops, galleries, souvenir markets, outdoor cafés and restaurants. The morning sightseeing tour takes us around the old medieval city walls and into the Old Town where we see Toompea Castle, the Dome Church, Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, the medieval Old Town Hall and the Great Guild Hall. In the afternoon, you can take the optional excursion to Kadriorg Park and KUMU, the award winning Estonian art museum with its collections of classic and contemporary fine art. In the evening, you might like to enjoy the optional medieval dinner at Restaurant Peppersack.

Day 8 Tallinn- Helsinki; Lahemaa National Park and then Ferry Through the Finnish Archipelago
In the morning there is an optional visit to the Lahemaa National Park where you can explore Palmse Manor, a memorial to the von Pahlen family, Sagadi Manor, Vihula Manor and the Vodka Museum. In the afternoon, from Tallinn we take the ferry through the Finnish archipelago, en-route to Helsinki.  Accommodation at Hotel Glo Art or similar.

Day 9 Helsinki: City Sightseeing & Seurasaari Open Air Museum
Helsinki is truly located at the crossroads of Western and Eastern culture and this is reflected everywhere in the green and lively Finnish capital. The sightseeing tour takes us around the harbours, Senate Square, up central Mannerheim Street and by the Parliament Building, the Finlandia Hall, and the Sibelius Monument and for a visit at the famous Church-in the-Rock. The afternoon offfers an optional excursion to Seurasaari Open-Air Museum, an oasis in the midst of the city with cottages, farmsteads and manors from all around Finland.

Day 10 Helsinki Departure
Optional private transfer from the hotel to the airport or railway station and end of arrangements.
