This tour takes you to the heart of the Baltics -Vilnius, Klaipeda, the Curonian Spit, Riga, Tallinn and Parnu.

Day 1 Arrival Vilnius
Arrival in Vilnius. Make your own way to your hotel or there is an optional private transfer from the airport. Accommodation at Hotel Radisson Blu Lietuva or similar; check-in and early evening welcome meeting with your tour escort and fellow guests.

Day 2 Vilnius- Klaipeda: Medieval Town Tour & Trakai Castle
Vilnius has over 1,200 medieval buildings and 48 churches. The morning town sightseeing tour includes a panoramic tour of the city and a walking tour of the Old Town, which includes Vilnius Cathedral, Gediminas Tower, Peter and Paul Church, St. Anne’s Church, Old University and the Gates of Dawn. We then continue on to Trakai, 
the medieval capital of Lithuania, where we see the well preserved Trakai Castle, beautifully located on an island in Lake Galve. The balance of the day is spent en route to Klaipeda, where we arrive in the late afternoon. Accommodation at Hotel National or similar.

Day 3 Klaipeda: Curonian Spit
Time at leisure on enjoy a full day optional tour to the Curonian Spit - a thin, 100 km stretch of land between the Baltic Sea and the Curonian Lagoon with small fishing villages, pine forests and endless sand dunes. Our first stop is the Hill of Witches in Juodkrante.
After that we continue to Nida, where we visit the High Dunes, Thomas Mann’s summerhouse and get acquainted with the charming resort town before we return to Klaipeda. The evening offers an optional Lithuanian dinner at Restaurant 19th Century.

Day 4 Klaipeda-Riga: Old Town Tour, Hill of Crosses, Organ Recital Dome Cathedral
Klaipeda first became a part of Lithuania in 1923 and had a long history as a German town called Memel. A short sightseeing tour takes us to the Old Town with its narrow, cobblestone streets and old guild houses and we visit the Theatre Square and the Aennchen von Tharau Fountain. We now continue to the Samogitia National Park, where we embark on a walking tour around the picturesque Lake Plateliai. After that we continue to Siauliai and the Hill of Crosses, one of the holiest sites of Catholic Lithuania. We then head North into Latvia and reach in the late afternoon. Accommodation at Hotel Radisson Blu Latvija or similar. In the evening you might like to join the optional organ concert at the lovely old Dome Cathedral.

Day 5 Riga: Town Walking Tour & Jurmala Seaside Resort 
Riga, founded in 1201 by the German bishop Albert, is the largest of the three Baltic capitals and boasts a real kaleidoscope of architectural styles. The morning walking tour of the Old Town includes Riga Castle, the Dome Cathedral, St. Peter’s Church, the Swedish Gate, the Three Brothers, the Large and Small Guilds and the Freedom Monument.  In the afternoon there is an optional visit to Jurmala, the vibrant Latvian sea resort, famous for its wooden architecture and sandy beaches.  In the evening you might like to enjoy the optional  Latvian dinner at the stylish Restaurant Forest.

Day 6 Riga-Tallinn: Parnu Summer Resort & Land of Forests
The tour  today continues along the coastal highway to the Estonian summer resort of Parnu. Here we enjoy a short tour of the resort, before we continue through the North Estonian forests to arrive in Tallinn in the early afternoon.
Accommodation at Hotel Radisson Blu Olympia or similar.

Day 7  Tallinn: Old Town Sightseeing, Kadriorg Park and KUMU Art Museum
Tallinn is a charming blend of medieval tranquillity and modern urban life. The medieval Old Town is a busy place in the summer with its many shops, galleries, souvenir markets, outdoor cafés and restaurants. The morning sightseeing tour takes us around the old medieval city walls and into the Old Town where we see Toompea Castle, the Dome Church, Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, the medieval Old Town Hall and the Great Guild Hall. In the afternoon, you can take the optional excursion to Kadriorg Park and KUMU, the award winning Estonian art museum with its collections of classic and contemporary fine art. In the evening, you might like to enjoy the optional medieval dinner at Restaurant Peppersack.

Day 8 Tallinn Departure
Optional private transfer from the hotel to the airport or railway station and end of arrangements.
