Day 1 Copenhagen Arrival
Arrival in Copenhagen, and pick up your rental car at the airport. Drive into the city and check-in at your hotel. Time at leisure. Copenhagen, the capital city of the kingdom of Denmark since 1417, is one of Europe's most ancient capitals, with a royal touch - the monarchy in Denmark is the oldest in the world. Copenhagen is a place where old fairytales blend with innovative new architecture and world class design. It is also considered one of the world's most environmentally friendly cities and one of the best places to cycle. Most of the city's attractions can be reached on foot or bike, offering the opportunity to experience a lot of things in a short time. Overnight in Copenhagen.

Day 2: Copenhagen - Malmo (approx. 44km)
Travel to Malmo via the Oresund Bridge. The bridge features in the Scandic Noir thriller programme "The Bridge" and is an engineering marvel stretching 8km over the sea. Check in to your hotel in Malmo, and the afternoon and evening are at leisureExplore the hidden gems of Malmo. At it's heart is the historic market square of Stortorget, created in 1540 and, at 2,500 square metres, the largest and oldest square in Malmö, and once the largest in Northern Europe. Nearby Lilla Torg is a lively area of cafes and alfresco dining places- from here, stroll the streets lined with old half-timbered wooden houses to reach Gamla Staden, the Old Town. Overnight in Malmo.

Day 3: Malmo - Gothenburg (approx. 273km)
From Malmo continue to Gothenburg, the second largest city of Sweden, situated by the Kattegat Strait on the west coast of Sweden. Go into the centre of the city to see the old moat and canals that date from the 17th century, and perhaps take a cruise beneath the many low bridges, into the fascinating harbour with it's traditional shipyards, fishing boats and maritime museum. Check in at your hotel and overnight in Gothenburg. 

Day 4: Gothenburg - Oslo (approx. 293km)
Departing from Gothenburg head north to reach Oslo in the afternoon. Oslo, the capital of Norway, sits on the country’s southern coast at the head of Oslofjord and is known for its green spaces and wonderful museums, vibrant social scene and close proximity to the fjords and mountains of the south and west.  Time to enjoy the city sights including the many fabulous museums - the Viking Ship Museum, Munch Museum and many more. Stroll along the old Bryygen wharf area, now a bustling hub of outdoor cafes, bars and restaurants. Visit the fantastic architectural masterpiece that is the stunning new Opera House and perhaps take a guided tour of the Royal Palace. Check in at your hotel and overnight in Oslo. 

Day 5: Oslo - Karlstad (approx. 221km)
Today leave Oslo and drive east to Karlstad, a university town located in the rural heart of the country, and first founded by King Karl IX in 1584. The town sits on an island of the Klarälven river, and beside Europe's largest freshwater lake, Lake Vänern, and is famous for its sunny weather. Check in at your hotel and overnight in Karlstad. 

Day 6: Karlstad - Stockholm (approx. 309km)
From Karlstad your tour continues to Stockholm, one of the world's most beautiful capitals, built on 14 islands around one of Europe's largest and best-preserved mediaeval city centres. Check in at your hotel and 2 nights in Stockholm.

Day 7: Stockholm
Today perhaps visit the Vasa Museum - the impressive warship Vasa sank on her maiden voyage in 1628 but was salvaged 333 years later in 1961. She has since been restored and can now be seen with her complete rigging. Also walk the charming streets of the famous old town, Gamla Stan, and enjoy sitting in the many bars, cafes and restaurants, to watch the passing parade. Or indulge in some Nordic shopping in the many quirky boutiques and homeware stores. 2nd night in Stockholm.

Day 8: Stockholm - Jonkoping (approx 320km)
Leaving Stockholm travel to Jonkoping along the coastline of the Baltic Sea. Take a journey under the water in the Huskvarna bay, and see the medieval ruins of the castles at Rumlaborg and Brahehus. Check in at your hotel and overnight in Jonkoping. 

Day 9: Jonkoping - Copenhagen (approx. 336km)
Continue today back to Denmark. On the way stop at Helsinborg, which boasts a charming rejuvenated waterfront with restaurants, lofty castle ruins and lively cobblestone streets. Then on to reach Copenhagen in the afternoon. Check in at your hotel and overnight in Copenhagen. 

Day 10: Copenahgen Departure
Check out from your hotel and return the car to the airport.
