Itinerary

Day 1 Rovaniemi Arrival

On arrival in Rovaniemi transfer to your hotel. Time to explore the town, browse the shops or perhaps visit the fabulous Arktikum Museum.

Day 2 Husky Safari and Northern Lights Picnic

Start the day with a husky safari. The friendly barking of the excited huskies welcomes you to the local husky farm. After a brief lesson, it's time to head off - as soon as the dogs start running, all you will hear is the swish of the sled runners, as you glide quietly across the snow. Stop for a break and a hot drink and the chance to switch drivers. The average length of the trail is approximately 10km and 2 persons share each sled.

This evening join a hunt for the fabled Northern Lights! Your guide will drive you out of the city, to the best spots for today's weather, so you can enjoy the arctic night skies and relax with a light meal, whilst hopefully gazing at the Aurora.

Day 3 Day at Leisure for optional activities, and Evening Aurora Hunt By Reindeer Sleigh

Today explore the town, visit the shops, and relax. Or you might like to add an optional excursion - these include a visit to Ranua Arctic Wildlife Park, Ice Fishing, Ice Floating, Snowshoeing, Snowmobile Safari to Santa Claus Village 4.5hrs, Visit Santa Claus Village and Snowmobiling to a Reindeer Farm 6hrs. Then tonight hunt for the Aurora whilst sitting snugly in a reindeer drawn sleigh, looking for the Northern Lights to paint the sky!

Day 4 Snowmobile Safari into the Wilderness

Today take a short snowmobile safari along snowy tracks, past frozen rivers, lakes and forests. where you can master the art of driving a snowmobile. There will be a stop for hot drinks and biscuits to warm you up and where you can enjoy the silence of the wilderness. There is also a chance to swap drivers along the way, before the return snowmobile trip. All drivers must hold a valid driver's license and 2 persons usually share each snowmobile.
