This tour has it all - an exploration of the Baltic capitals and highlights, as well as the treasures of St Petersburg and Moscow.   

Day 1 Arrive Vilnius
On arrival, make your own way to your hotel or take the optional private transfer from airport. Accommodation at Hotel Radisson Blu Lietuva or similar; check-in and early evening welcome meeting with your tour escort and fellow guests.

Day 2 Vilnius: Medieval Town Tour & Trakai Castle
Vilnius has over 1,200 medieval buildings and 48 churches. Morning sightseeing includes a panoramic tour of the city and a walking tour of the Old Town, which includes Vilnius Cathedral, Gediminas Tower, Peter and Paul Church, St. Anne’s Church, Old University and the Gates of Dawn. The a
fternoon offers an optional excursion to Trakai, the medieval capital of Lithuania. Visit the well preserved Trakai Castle, beautifully located on an island in Lake Galve. In the evening you can enjoy an optional folklore dinner at Restaurant Belmontas.

Day 3 Vilnius - Riga: Hill of Crosses and Rundale Palace 
Heading for Riga, the first stop is the spectacular Hill of Crosses, one of the most holy sites of Catholic Lithuania. After crossing into Latvia, we soon reach magnificent Rundale Palace - former summer residence of the Dukes of Courland. Following a guided tour of the palace, we travel through Southern Latvia's rolling hills to reach Riga in the late afternoon.

Day 4 RigaGauja National Park & Sigulda, Ethnographical Open Air Museum & Organ Recital Dome Cathedral
This morning offers time at leisure in Riga, or an exploration of medieval Latvia with an optional tour to stunning  Gauja National Park and the town of Sigulda - here you can listen to the medieval Latvian legend of the Rose of Turaida and see the ruins of the Episcopal Castle and of the Castle of the Knights of the Sword. In the afternoon, there is an optional visit to the Ethnographical Open Air Museum, a spacious exposition of 18th Century country life. In the evening you might like to join the optional organ concert at the lovely old Dome Cathedral.

Day 5 Riga: Town Walking Tour & Jurmala Seaside Resort 
Founded in 1201 by the German Bishop Albert, Riga is the largest of the three Baltic capitals and boasts a real kaleidoscope of architectural styles. The morning's Old Town walking tour includes Riga Castle, St. Peter’s Church, Dome Cathedral, Swedish Gate, Three Brothers, Large and Small Guilds, and the Freedom Monument. This afternoon offers an optional visit to Jurmala - a vibrant Latvian sea resort famous for its wooden architecture and sandy beaches. Tonight, you might like to enjoy an optional Latvian dinner at stylish Restaurant Forest.

Day 6 Riga - Tallinn: Parnu Summer Resort & Land of Forests
The tour today continues along the coastal highway to the Estonian summer resort of Parnu. Here we enjoy a short tour of the resort, before we continue through the North Estonian forests to arrive in Tallinn in the early afternoon.
Accommodation at Hotel Radisson Blu Olympia or similar.

Day 7 Tallinn: Old Town Sightseeing, Kadriorg Park and KUMU Art Museum
Tallinn is a charming blend of medieval tranquillity and modern urban life. The medieval Old Town is a busy place in the summer with its many shops, galleries, souvenir markets, outdoor cafés and restaurants. The morning sightseeing tour takes us around the old medieval city walls and into the Old Town where we see Toompea Castle, the Dome Church, Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, the medieval Old Town Hall and the Great Guild Hall. In the afternoon, you can take the optional excursion to Kadriorg Park and KUMU, the award winning Estonian art museum with its collections of classic and contemporary fine art. Tonight, you might like to enjoy an optional medieval dinner at Restaurant Maikrahv.

Day 8 Tallinn - Helsinki; Lahemaa National Park & Ferry Through the Finnish Archipelago
In the morning there is an optional visit to Lahemaa National Park where you can explore Palmse Manor, a memorial to the von Pahlen family, Sagadi Manor, Vihula Manor and the Vodka Museum. Afternoon ferry from Tallinn, through the Finnish archipelago, to Helsinki. Accommodation at Hotel Glo Art or similar.

Day 9 Helsinki: City Sightseeing & Seurasaari Open Air Museum
Helsinki is truly located at the crossroads of Western and Eastern culture and this is reflected everywhere in the green and lively Finnish capital. The sightseeing tour takes us around the harbour, Senate Square, central Mannerheim Street and by the Parliament Building, the Finlandia Hall, and the Sibelius Monument, plus a visit at the famous Church-in the-Rock. The afternoon offers an optional excursion to Seurasaari Open-Air Museum, an oasis in the midst of the city with cottages, farmsteads and manors from all around Finland.

Day 10 Helsinki - St Petersburg via Vyborg Castle
Today we continue eastbound to St. Petersburg. Shortly after crossing the border into Russia, we arrive in Vyborg, where we take time for a short sightseeing tour and a photo stop at Vyborg Castle. In the late afternoon we arrive in St Petersburg.
Accommodation at Hotel Sokos Vasilievsky or similar.

Day 11 St Petersburg: Imperial City Tour & Catherine’s Palace and the Amber Room 
St. Petersburg is an amazing city. Its imperial palaces and museums enjoy worldwide fame, while the Neva River and the many canals have deservedly given the city the title, Venice of the North. During morning sightseeing tour become acquainted with all the splendours of the city: the Peter-Paul Fortress, Winter Palace, St. Isaac’s Cathedral, the Church of the Bleeding Savior, the Nevsky Convent and more. In the afternoon, there is an optional visit to Zarskoye Selo with the impressive Catherine’s Palace and the Amber Room, which vanished during World War II and was restored for St. Petersburg’s tri-centennial celebrations. In the evening you can enjoy an optional visit to the Nikolaevsky Palace to seen an exciting traditional Russian folklore show, including some Russian drinks and snacks.

Day 12 St Petersburg: Peterhof Palace & Hermitage Art Museum
This morning offers an optional excursion to Peterhof Palace - an uncontested masterpiece of the time of Peter the Great, with the impressive Grand Palace, Grand Cascade, Water Avenue and its wonderful parks (please note the fountains at Peterhof only operate from May to the end of August). In the afternoon, you can enjoy an optional visit to the world-famous, treasure filled Hermitage Art Museum - a truly wonderful way to end your exploration of this magnificent city. Tonight, you might like to join the optional Russian dinner at Restaurant Russian Pryanosti & Radosti.

Day 13 St Petersburg - Moscow: Canal Cruise and Fast train to Moscow
In the early morning, you can take an optional guided canal cruise along the meandering waterways and then a
round noon, we transfer to the railway station and board Sapsan high-speed train, bound for Moscow. Travel through endless Russian landscapes along the River Volga. Late afternoon arrival in Moscow; accommodation at Hotel Park Inn Sadu or similar.

Day 14  Moscow: Kremlin, Cathedrals, Metro & River Cruise
Moscow, the Mother of Russia, is a genuine Russian city with the Kremlin and its onion domed cathedrals. The dramatic changes over the last decade have made the city one of the most dynamic metropolis in the world. Morning sightseeing includes all the highlights of this vast city - Red Square with the Kremlin, Theatre Square with the Bolshoi Theatre, Sparrow Hills with Moscow University and the Kremlin grounds including one of the cathedrals. In the afternoon, an optional visit to the famous Moscow Metro including the stations along the Ring Line, followed by a guided stroll along famous Arbat Street, is offered. This evening's optional tour is 'Moscow by Night' which and includes an unforgettable river cruise with the White Flotilla.

Day 15  Moscow: Sergiev Posad & Russian Circus
Today is available for a full day optional excursion to Sergiev Posad, where we visit the Trinity Lavra of St Sergius, the most important Russian monastery and the spiritual heart of the country.This year the monastery celebrates the 700th anniverary of St Sergius. The evening offers an optional final excursion, being a fun visit to the Old Russian Circus.

Day 16 Depart Moscow
Optional private transfer from hotel to the airport and end of arrangements.
