Geirangerfjord is listed on the UNESCO World Heritage register and is one of the loveliest fjords in Norway. This tour combines a cruise on Geirangerfjord with an overnight voyage on the Hurtigruten coastal ferry from Alesund to Bergen, and time in Oslo, Lillehammer, Alesund and Bergen.

Day 1 Oslo Arrival
On arrival in Oslo, make your own way to your hotel. Enjoy some of Oslo's fine museums including the Viking Ship Museum, the Fram Polar Expedition Museum and the Kon Tiki Museum, or take a stroll through the old wharf area of Bryggen, now bustling with bars and cafes. Visit the Munch Museum, Maritime Museum and Akershus Fortress, and much more. Overnight in Oslo.

Day 02: Oslo – Lillehammer 
Make your own way to Oslo's central railway station  and take the train to Lillehammer. On arrival, make your own way to your hotel.  Learn about Norway's cultural history at Maihaugen and Bjerkebæk, an open-air museum within walking distance of the town which provides an insight into what it has been like to live and work in Norway over the past 500 years. Visit Lillehammer Art Museum to see the numerous works by famous Norwegian artists, such as Fritz Thaulow and Edvard Munch, and explore the arenas built for the 1994 Winter Olympics and the Norwegian Olympic Museum. Overnight in Lillehammer. 

Day 03: Lillehammer – Åndalsnes - Geiranger 
Make your own way to Lillehammer's central railway station  and take the train north through the Romsdalen Valley to Dombås, then continue on the spectacular Rauma Railway along the Rauma River to Åndalsnes. The Rauma railway is 114 km long and offers amazing views of the passing scenery, with a highlight being the old stone Kylling Bridge,  From Åndalsnes, continue your journey by coach towards Geiranger. The journey takes you along the Troll Road*, which has 11 twisting turns and a highest point of 858 metres above sea level, a dramatic and exciting drive. A short ferry crossing will then take you to Geiranger. Overnight in Geiranger.

Day 04: Geiranger – Geirangerfjord  – Ålesund Cruise
Today depart Geiranger and board the famous Hurtigruten Coastal Ferry for a 4-hour cruise to Ålesund. The cruise follows the spectacular and beautiful Geirangerfjord past waterfalls and rustic farms situated high up on the green mountainsides. Arrival in Ålesund in the evening, disembark, and make your own way to your hotel. 2 nights in Alesund.

Day 05: Ålesund Day at Leisure
Day at leisure..Alesund is beautifully situated, surrounded by mountains and fjords. It is known as Norway’s 'Art Nouveau' city and is full of charming buildings. Take a stroll in the magnificent central district and marvel at the beautiful houses with their elaborate towers, spires and ornaments, stroll the banks of the scenic Brosundet canal that runs through the town, visit one of the nearby islands, or the city aquarium. 2nd night in Alesund.

Day 06: Ålesund – Hurtigruten
Day at leisure. Perhaps take a trip up Mount Aksla- the beauty of the town can be appreciated from the summit,  with a breathtaking view of the town and its mountains, islands and fjords. In the late evening board the Hurtigruten Coastal Ferry bound for Bergen. Enjoy the stunning scenery as the boat sails along the western Norwegian coastal landscape. Overnight on board in outside cabin with private facilities.

Day 07: Hurtigruten – Bergen Arrival
Breakfast on board then enjoy the scenery. As the boat approaches Bergen it passes through the estuary of mighty the Sognefjord and there are fantastic views of the archipelago. Arrive in Bergen in the afternoon, disembark and make your own way to your hotel.  2 nights in Bergen.

Day 08: Bergen Day at Leisure
Day at leisure to explore Bergen. Called ‘the city between mountains’ Bergen sits on a fjord and has many beautiful mountains surrounding it- at 624 metres, Mount Ulriken is the tallest of them. Bergen was one of the major hanseatic trading cities of Europe and the small city has a strong maritime heritage and a charming, historic town centre - the Bryggen area, which is now included on UNESCO's World Heritage List. Perhaps take a ride on the Fløibanen Funicular, just 50 metres from the fish market and the Bryggen wharf. The ride up to the top of the Fløyen Mountain (320 metres above sea level) takes 5-6 minutes - the ride itself is spectacular, and the views of Bergen only improve as you get closer to the top. Once at the top, there are many walks on the mountain to enjoy, as well as a cafe and viewing platform. 

Day 09: Departure 
Your tour arrangements end with check out after breakfast.
