Experience the cultural heritage and many attractions of wonderful Copenhagen. Enjoy a city canal cruise,  explore Kronborg Castles in the North Zealand region just north of the city and visit the renowned Louisiana Art Museum.Then travel from Copenhagen across the Oresund Bridge, connecting Denmark and Sweden, to reach Malmö, and spend time there before returning to Copenhagen. And don't forget to sample the excellent and innovative new Nordic cuisine!

Extra nights in Copenhagen and Malmo can be added, or you can finish the tour by taking the train from Malmo on to Stockholm, instead of returning to Copenhagen - please enquire.

Day 1  Arrival in Copenhagen & Private Transfer to Hotel
Upon arrival at the airport you will be met and transferred to your hotel.  The remainder of the day and evening are at leisure. Copenhagen is one of the best small cities in the world. With a history that dates back to 1043, the city is full of cultural landmarks, beautiful and significant buildings, charming waterways, interesting sights and museums. Walk down the shopping street Strøget, visit the Nyhavn area of lively bars and restaurants and sample some of the famous Danish cuisine. Accommodation at Imperial Hotel or similar for 3 nights with daily breakfast.

Day 2  Copenhagen: City and Canal Sightseeing
Today take a short, guided boat tour around the harbour and through the idyllic canals. Your guide will tell you about the beautiful churches, castles, old listed houses, new buildings and  other sights of interest of historic Copenhagen. The tour departs regularly from Gammel Strand and passes some of Copenhagen best sights and attractions.

The remainder of the  day is at leisure. Or you might take an optional regular 4 hour Culinary Experience Tour. Explore Copenhagen from a foodie point of view - learn about the world famous Nordic cuisine and restaurant scene, and discover the local's favourite eateries and market halls with an expert guide at your side. The tour starts at Torvehallerne, the covered market halls, where you can sample artisan cheese, and try local liquors, caramels and preserves from some of the most interesting small producers. Also taste smørrebrød, the traditional Danish open sandwich,  visit a microbrewery and sample 3 different types of home-brewed beer, and try the classic street food in Copenhagen - the hotdog, served in an gourmet version! 

2nd overnight in Copenhagen. 

Day 3 Copenhagen: Privately Guided North Zealand Tour
Enjoy a full day privately guided excursion to North Zealand to discover it's beautful landscape and cultural heritages. Visit Kronborg Castle, known through Shakespeare's Hamlet as Elsinore Castle, which stands at the seaward approach to the Öresund Sound and is one of the best preserved Renaissance castles in Northern Europe. On the way back to Copenhagen visit the famed Luisiana Museum of Modern Art, where you can enjoy the wide range of international contemporary art and modernist classics.  Return to your hotel in the late afternoon and 3rd overnight in Copenhagen. 

Day 4 Copenhagen - Malmo over the Oresund Bridge By Private Car
After breakfast check out from the hotel and travel to Malmo by private transfer over the famous Oresund Bridge. The bridge features in the Scandic Noir thriller programme "The Bridge" and is an engineering marvel stretching 8km over the sea.

On arrival into Malmo check in to your hotel, and the afternoon and evening are at leisure. Blending green parks and sandy beaches with a rich culture, history and modern art, Malmö has a wide variety of attractions. From the bustling commercial centre it’s just a short walk to the picturesque Old Town and Malmöhus Castle. From there,  continue to the  Western Harbour for a perfect snapshot of the Öresund Bridge and the Turning Torso, a neo-futurist residential skyscraper and the tallest building in Scandinavia. At Malmo's heart is the historic market square of Stortorget, created in 1540 and, at 2,500 square metres, the largest and oldest square in Malmö, and once the largest in Northern Europe. Nearby Lilla Torg is a lively area of cafes and alfresco dining places - from here, stroll the streets lined with old half-timbered wooden houses to reach Gamla Staden, the Old Town. Accommodation at Clarion Hotel & Congress Malmo Live or similar for 3 nights with daily breakfast. 

Day 5 Malmo: City Sightseeing By Boat
This morning enjoy a sightseeing tour by boat. Travel through the canals and under the bridges and see Malmo from another side, while your guide tells you about the city's history, architecure, people and stories. The afternoon is free. 2nd overnight in Malmo. 

Day 6 Malmo:  Excursion to Lund
Today enjoy a 4 hour tour to Lund by private car with driver.  Lund is a charming city  which combines ancient with modern; enjoy the museums, lively market squares, shops, department stores, cafés and restaurants, all within easy distance. Vsit the Kulturen Open air museum on the way for a glimpse of Swedish life in the city and the countryside, from the Middle Ages to the present. 3rd overnight in Malmo. 

Day 7 Malmo Departure
After check out from your hotel this morning transfer to the Malmo train station for the train trip to Copenhagen Airport. Your tour arrangements end with your arrival there. 

Or, for a supplement, you can take the train from Malmo on to Stockholm, a journey of about 5 hours through the Swedish countryside.
