Itinerary
Day 1 Rovaniemi Arrival
On arrival in Rovaniemi transfer to your hotel. Welcome to Santa's Official Home Town in Lapland. Time to explore, browse the shops or perhaps visit the fabulous Arktikum Museum. Two nights accommodation at Haawe Boutique Apart Hotel Rovaniemi, which is a small boutique apartment property in the city centre. Optional Evening Hunt for the Northern Lights by Reindeer Sleigh 2.5hrs.
Day 2 Husky Safari and Northern Lights Hunt by bus
Start the day with a Husky Safari. The friendly barking of the excited huskies welcomes you to the local husky farm. After a brief lesson, it's time to head off - as soon as the dogs start running, all you will hear is the swish of the sled runners, as you glide quietly across the snow. Drive with 2 persons per sled, with the chance to swap drivers along the way. Stop for a break in the wilderness and take photos. The average length of the trail is approximately 7-10km.
This evening join a hunt for the fabled Northern Lights. Your guide will drive you out of the city by bus, to the best spots for today's weather conditions, so you can enjoy the arctic night skies and relax, whilst hopefully gazing at the Aurora.
Day 3 Rovaniemi to Levi
Private car transfer from Rovaniemi to Levi, approx. 2hrs journey. Levi, the biggest ski resort in Finland, located in the fell Lapland 170km above the Arctic Circle and in the heart of large wilderness areas. Levi fell village is a charming, small holiday town, which offers a wide range of services. Two nights accommodation in your own private Aurora Glass Igloo Cabin at Northern Lights Village Levi. You may choose to add an optional excursion this afternoon or evening. Optional excursions from Northern Lights Village Levi: Northern Lights Hunt by Snowmobile 3hrs or Heated Sleigh 3hrs or Snowshoes 2hrs; Searching for Santa 3hrs; Ice Fishing and Snowmobiling 4hrs.
Day 4 Reindeer Safari and Northern Lights Hunt by bus
Get ready for a traditional Lappish experience today. Meet with a reindeer breeder at Northern Lights Village and learn about the reindeer and the Sámi. You will also feed the reindeer, experience a reindeer sleigh ride through the snowy forest and enjoy a warm soup lunch.
An unforgettable evening Aurora Hunt by bus. Head north from the village for a round trip, passing by Jerisjärvi or Ounasjoki, depending on the weather conditions. On the way, stop to take photos and warm up with hot drinks.
Day 5 Levi - Kittilä Departure
Transfer to Kittilä Airport and end of arrangements.

Husky Safaris: Children under 18 years usually travel in a sled driven by the guide but, in some circumstances, may be allowed to sit in a sled driven by a parent or adult family member. The guide has the discretion to decide who may or may sit in a sled driven by an adult and who must sit in the guide's sled.
