Welcome to Rovaniemi, the capital of Lapland and Santa's official home. Stay 2 nights in your own Premium Glass Igloo at Santa's Igloos Arctic Circle, located at Santa Claus Village and 2 hotel nights in downtown Rovaniemi. Airport transfers and a Husky Safari are included, with time to explore Santa Claus Village at your own pace and add optional excursions.

Itinerary

Day 1 Rovaniemi Arrival

On arrival in Rovaniemi transfer to Santa's Hotel Santa Claus or similar. Time to explore the town, browse the shops or perhaps visit the fabulous Arktikum Museum.

Day 2 Husky Safari

Start the day with a Husky Safari. The friendly barking of the excited huskies welcomes you to the local husky farm. After a brief lesson, it's time to head off - as soon as the dogs start running, all you will hear is the swish of the sled runners, as you glide quietly across the snow. Stop for a break and a the chance to switch drivers along the way. The average length of the trail is approximately 10km and 2 persons share each sled. Optional evening Northern Lights Hunt by Bus or by Snowmobile. Second overnight at Santa's Hotel Santa Claus or similar.

Day 3 Rovaniemi: Santa's Igloos Arctic Circle

Day at leisure to relax, explore the city or choose any of the optional winter activities that Rovaniemi offers: Reindeer Safari, Snowmobile Safari, Ice Fishing, Snowshoeing, visit Ranua Arctic Wildlife Park, Reindeer Safari to Santa's Village - please enquire. Check-out from your hotel and take a private transfer to Santa Igloos Arctic Circle, where you will spend two unforgettable nights in a Premium Glass Igloo under the Northern Sky on the edge of Santa Claus Village. Your igloo is equipped with an Aurora Alarm, which will notify you if the Northern Lights appear. Evening dinner at Restaurant Arctic Eye, which offers flavours of Lapland, with an international twist. The restaurant is located in the centre of Santa’s Igloos, with large, reclined glass windows facing north to view the Northern Lights if they magically appear.

Day 4 Santa Claus Village

Day at leisure for an optional excursion and to explore Santa Claus Village on your own, located approx. 800m from Santa's Igloos. Here you can meet Santa Claus in his office and feel the Christmas spirit all year long. Perhaps visit Santa Claus' Main Post Office, Christmas House, Elf's Farmyard and Snowman World. Cross the Arctic Circle line, which marks the southernmost latitude where the sun can stay continuously below or above the horizon for 24 hours. The village is filled with opportunities for winter activities, restaurants and shops. Evening dinner at Restaurant Arctic Eye. Second Glass Igloo overnight at Santa's Igloos Arctic Circle.

Day 5 Rovaniemi Departure

Transfer to the airport and end of arrangements.

Notes:

Up to 2 children under 12 years of age can share a room with 2 adults and will sleep on a sofa bed or rollaway bed, at a reduced rate.

Husky Safaris: Children under 18 years usually travel in one big sled driven by the guide. During the shorter safaris a maximum of 2 adults + 2 children may be permitted to share one sled driven by the adults. During the longer safaris, 2 adults usually drive each sled in pairs and all children sit together in one big sled driven by the guide. The guide has the discretion to decide who may sit in a sled driven by adults and who must sit in the guide's sled for all safaris. Children under 2 are not permitted on husky safaris. 

In the event of extreme weather or poor trail conditions small children may not be allowed to participate in safaris.
