Disembark in Leikanger and enjoy a light lunch at a countryside eatery then continue the scenic tour, by road to Fjærland. Pass under Jostedal Glacier, the largest in Europe, to Skei village at the northern end of beautiful Lake Jølster. Proceed north, passing small villages and more lakes, before ascending Nibbevegen road to Geiranger Skywalk, the highest fjord view by road (in Europe), where the mountaintop offers spectacular views of Geirangerfjord, with a clear drop of approx. 500metres. Early evening arrival, for dinner and overnight, at Union Hotel Geiranger or similar.

Day 4  Geiranger: Ørnevegen and Trollstigen

Continue by boat from Fjærland along the beautiful fjord of the same name (a branch of Sognfjord) to Balestrand for a late afternoon arrival. Your wonderful, fjordside hotel is a short walk from the pier and surrounded by mountains. Time at leisure. This historical hotel dates back to 1752 and has been in the Kvikne family since 1877. Morning ferry from Dragsvik to Hella, is followed by a scenic tour along the Sognfjord's Northern side to Sogndal, then on to Kaupanger.
