Welcome to the Lofoten Islands & North Cape. Sheer, jagged mountain peaks, with the sea at their feet, form a towering setting for the tiny, picturesque fishing villages. Northern Norway is renowned for its magnificent scenery and traditional fisheries culture, for the fishermen's "rorbu" cabins, the Northern Lights (in Winter) and the Midnight Sun (in Summer).

Day 1 Oslo Arrival
Welcome to The Kingdom of Norway. Shuttle bus transfer from airport to Oslo city centre, then make your own way to your hotel. Remainder of the day at leisure, perhaps visit Frogner Park, the Viking Ship Museum, the Royal Palace, City Hall and Akershus Fortress. Overnight in the Scandic St. Olavs Plass or similar.

Day 2 Oslo – Evenes - Svolvaer
After breakfast, meet with your tour leader and rest of the participants and transfer to the airport. Flight from Oslo to Evenes. Transfer from Evenes airport to Svolvaer, located on the Lofoten Islands. Your tour leader will travel with you from Day 2 to Day 6. Overnight in the Scandic Svolvaer or similar.

Day 3 Svolvaer – Lofoten Islands – Harstad
Panoramic tour of the Lofoten Islands. Discover Norway’s untamed islands, famous for fishing, midnight sun, northern lights, small villages off the beaten track and incredible landscapes. Dinner and overnight at the Scandic Harstad or similar.

Day 4 Harstad - Tromso
Travel by coach to Tromso - The Arctic Gateway. Evening at leisure. Overnight at the Quality Hotel Saga or similar.

Day 5 Tromso – Honningsvag – North Cape
Continue by coach to the Northernmost point of Europe, the North Cape. Short ferry crossings from Breivikeidet to Svensby and from Lyngseidet to Olderdalen. After driving along Kvænangen fjord, continue through the heart of the Arctic region of Finnmark, Norway’s largest county; “where East meets West" in culture as well as in nature and geography. The journey is long, but the reward will be great when we reach The North Cape. Late afternoon arrival in Honningsvag, check in & dinner. Evening excursion to the North Cape promontory. The Summer sun doesn’t set between mid May and late July, watch the midnight sun over the Barents Sea from the North Cape Plateau. Overnight at the Scandic Nordkapp or similar.
