Itinerary

Day 1 Stockholm Arrival

On arrival in Stockholm, transfer to your hotel, check-in and time to start exploring. Stockholm – the beauty on the water – is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful capitals in the world, built on 14 islands and protected from the sea by Skargarden, the Stockholm archipelago. Explore Gamla Stan's charming, narrow cobbled streets, take a canal cruise, see the Royal Palace, the Parliament Buildings, and much more. Two nights in Stockholm.

Day 2 Stockholm: Privately Guided City Sightseeing

After breakfast, meet your driver and guide at the hotel, for a private city sightseeing tour which includes the Old Town with the Royal Palace, Stockholm Cathedral, and the city centre with its famous City Hall. The afternoon is at leisure - perhaps visit the Vasa Museum, which houses one of the world's oldest and best-preserved warships dating back to 1628, or Skansen, the world's oldest open-air museum, with its collection of old buildings collected from all over Sweden. 2nd overnight in Stockholm.

Day 3 Stockholm - Tallinn by Overnight Ferry

The day is free to see more great sights - perhaps take a canal tour, to see this maritime city from a different perspective. In the mid afternoon, transfer from your hotel to the ferry terminal, to board the overnight ferry to Tallinn, with accommodation in an A class outside cabin, including buffet dinner and breakfast on board. While you travel slowly down the archipelago past numerous islands and islets, enjoy the wonderful views of the Baltic Sea. On board there is a wide choice of entertainment with bars, shops, a casino and more.

Day 4 Tallinn Arrival & Sightseeing and Optional Kadriorg Park and KUMU excursion

On arrival in Tallinn this morning, meet your driver and guide at the pier, for a private city sightseeing tour of Tallinn, a small city that is a charming blend of medieval tranquillity and modern urban life. Your tour takes you around the old medieval city walls and into the Old Town, where you will see Toompea Castle, the Dome Church, Alexander Nevsky Cathedral and the medieval Old Town Hall. At the conclusion of the tour, you will be dropped off at your hotel for check in. In the afternoon explore on your own - the Old Town is a busy and vibrant place with its many shops, galleries, souvenir markets, outdoor cafés and restaurants. Or you can add an optional three hour privately guided excursion to Kadriorg Park and KUMU. Pick up at your hotel and travel from Tallinn to Kadriorg Park. Start with a visit to the marvellous park at the Palace with its Baroque flower garden, Swan Pond and smaller park, as well as the historic buildings such as the Summer House, Kitchen House and Guard House, that surround the palace. Then visit the award-winning Estonian art museum KUMU (KUnstiMUuseum) and its exhibition halls, with its collections of classic & contemporary fine art. Two nights in Tallinn.

Day 5 Tallinn: Day at Leisure

Today enjoy time on your own to further explore the city. 2nd overnight in Tallinn.

Day 6 Tallinn - Riga

After breakfast, transfer by car from Tallinn to Riga. On arrival in, hotel check-in and time at leisure. Overnight in this wonderful city.

Day 7 Riga: Walking Tour + Optional Jurmala Visit

Founded in 1201 by the German bishop Albert, Riga is the largest of the three Baltic capitals and boasts a real kaleidoscope of architectural styles. The walking tour of the Old Town includes Riga Castle, the Dome Cathedral, St. Peter's Church, the Swedish Gate, the Three Brothers, the Large and Small Guilds and the Freedom Monument. In the afternoon perhaps enjoy an optional excursion to Jurmala, the vibrant Latvian sea resort, famous for its wooden architecture and sandy beaches. Jurmala, the oldest and largest resort town in the Baltic States, is situated 25km from the capital. The beaches are covered in dazzling white quartz sand, with 33km stretches to wander along.
