Choose from 3 versions of this great tour and see the very best of Scandinavia. Start in Oslo, continue to historic Bergen then onwards to the magnificent Norwegian fjords. Ride on the famous Norway in a Nutshell railway to Flam, enjoying spectacular scenery, magnificent waterways, wooded mountains, waterfalls, lakes and much more.

You have the option to finish the tour in Stockholm, or add Helsinki and also wonderful Copenhagen.

Day 1 Oslo Arrival 
On arrival, transfer from Oslo Gardermoen Airport to your hotel. Time at leisure. Oslo, the capital of Norway, sits on the country’s Southern coast at the head of Oslofjord and is known for its green spaces, wonderful museums, vibrant social scene and close proximity to the fjords and mountains of the south and west. Your tour escort will meet you at 19:45hrs tonight (before dinner) in the hotel lobby. Dinner and overnight at Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel Oslo, centrally located close to Karl Johans Gate. 

Day 2 Oslo - Ulvik: Valleys, Mountains & Waterfalls 
After breakfast, visit the famous Viking Ship Museum. Then depart from Oslo, driving via Hønefoss along Halling Valley to the mountain resort town of Gol. After lunch at a local restaurant, continue across the wild Hardanger Mountain Plateau to Fossli, stopping to view the thundering Vøringsfoss Waterfall, with a drop of 180m, the highest in Norway. Descend the amazing Mabodal Canyon to idyllic Hardanger Fjord, then cross the Hardanger bridge and on to Ulvik. Dinner and overnight at Brakanes Hotel, ideally located on the banks of the fjord.

Day 3 Ulvik - Bergen: Hardangerfjord & Historic City
After breakfast start the scenic drive along the Hardanger Fjord, famous for its many fruit orchards and vivd green fields, travelling via the towns of Øystese and Norheimsund, to arrive in the old Hanseatic trading town of Bergen around midday. Lunch at a local restaurant, before a 2hr tour of Bergen, including a visit to the popular Fish and Flower Market, the famous Bryggen Harbour with its gabled packhouses, and also the old Hanseatic Quarter. Take a ride on the funicular to Mt. Fløien, for the best views of the city and fjords way below. Overnight  at First Hotel Marin, centrally located next to old Bryggen harbour and close to the pedestrian shopping streets.(Please note dinner tonight is NOT included)

Day 4 Bergen - Flam - Balestrand: Flam Railway & Sognefjord
After breakfast, depart Bergen. Drive via Dale to Voss and board the Bergen Railway train bound for Myrdal mountain station. From there, we ride on the amazing Flåm Railway - a masterpiece of engineering which descends 865m in less than 1 hour. The journey will take you to the charming, fjordside village of Flåm, with many photo opportunities and a few stops along the way, passing waterfalls and spectacular mountain scenery.

After a short time in Flam, enjoy a 2hr cruise along the narrow Aurlands and Nærøy Fjords, both branches of the Sognefjord, the world's longest and deepest fjord - the Queen of the Fjords. Enjoy cascading waterfalls, sheer mountain cliffs, snow-clad peaks and a variety of wildlife. Disembark in Gudvangen at the head of Nærøy Fjord, and continue by coach through amazing Stalheim Canyon and Nærøy Valley, then across Vika Mountains to Vangsnes. Here we take a short ferry ride across to beautiful Balestrand. 2 nights with dinner at Kvikne’s Hotel, superbly located on the banks of the fjord and surrounded by mountains.

Day 5 Balestrand Day at Leisure
A day at leisure in Balestrand gives you the opportunity to enjoy the outstanding beauty and nature of the fjords. Start with a traditional Norwegian buffet breakfast in the hotel’s elegant dining room, as you decide how to spend your day. This morning, you may want to relax on the hotel terrace, breathing in the fresh mountain air and enjoying the spectacular views. Or you may like to visit the local aquarium and art gallery, rent a bike or rowing boat from the hotel, or even go on foot up the neaby mountains. A walking tour of Balestrand village, with its historic buildings and other noteworthy sites, can also be arranged. Dinner and 2nd night at Kvikne’s Hotel.

Day 6 Balestrand - Geiranger
After breakfast, depart by ferry from Dragsvik to Hella, before a scenic tour along Sognfjord's northern side. Continue by road to Fjaerland, passing under Jostedal Glacier (Europe's largest), then on to Skei Village at the northern end of Lake Jølster. Descend to beautiful Nord Fjord, making a detour at Olden to visit world-famous Briksdal Glacier, then journey up to the glacier in open cars, for the best views. Afterwards, enjoy a typical Norwegian lunch, served in sight of the glacier. After lunch continue via Loen and Stryn, to picturesque Hellesylt village. From here, continue by ferry on a 1hr cruise along spectacular Geiranger Fjord, possibly the most impressive of all Norwegian fjords. During the cruise, you pass close to some magnificent waterfalls, including  the Bridal Veil and Seven Sisters falls. Dinner and overnight at the Union Hotel, overlooking Geiranger Fjord.

Day 7 Geiranger - Oslo
Depart from Geiranger and then from atop the famous Serpentine Road, enjoy the  amazing views of the fjord and surrounding areas, before crossing the rugged Grotli Mountains to Lom, well known for its 14th Century stave church. Then continue via Lake Vågå, before descending the magnificent Gudbrands Valley to lovely Lillehammer, where we stop for lunch. Afterwards, the journey continues alongside Lake Mjøsa, Norway’s largest lake, back to Oslo. Dinner and overnight at Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel Oslo.

Day 8 Oslo - Stockholm
After breakfast, depart from Oslo, and continue by coach towards the Swedish border. Cross into the attractive province of Värmland to arrive in the city of Karlstad on Lake Vänern, the largest lake in Sweden. Lunch in Karlstad then travel on through a landscape of forests and sparkling lakes, to reach the Swedish capital in the late afternoon. Dinner tonight and 2 nights at the Clarion Hotel Sign. 

Day 9 Stockholm: City Sightseeing & Afternoon Free
Stockholm, one of the most beautiful capitals in the world, is built on 14 islands and connected by 57 bridges. With 750 years of history and a rich cultural life, this is a truly extraordinary place. Start today with a 4 hour guided tour of the city - the famous sights include the Royal Palace, Parliament Buildings, Cathedral, and the Royal Theatre. You will also visit the enchanting Old Town (Gamla Stan) with its narrow cobbled streets and numerous antique shops. Highlight of the tour is a visit to City Hall with its impressive Blue and Golden Halls, where the Nobel Prize banquet is held each year. The afternoon is free- perhaps visit the famous Vasa Museum or take one of the canal tours, to see the city from a differrent angle. 2nd night at the Clarion Hotel Sign. (Please note dinner tonight is NOT included)

Day 10 Stockholm - Helsinki: Cruise the Archipelago 
The 10 day tour Oslo to Stockholm ends after breakfast, with transfer to Stockholm's Arlanda Airport. 
Morning free in Stockholm- walk the charming streets of the famous old town, Gamla Stan, and enjoy sitting in the many bars, cafes and restaurants, to watch the passing parade. Or indulge in some Nordic shopping in the many quirky boutiques and homeware stores. In the afternoon transfer from the hotel to the pier, and board the ferry for the overnight voyage to Helsinki. Sail slowly down the picturesque archipelago, past numerous small islands, and enjoy dinner on board. There is a choice of entertainment on the ferry including bars, shops and a casino. Overnight in a 2-berth outside cabin with private facilities (with sole use of the cabin).

Day 11 Helsinki: City Sightseeing, Afternoon Free then return to Stockholm 
Enjoy your buffet breakfast as you sail into Helsinki harbour. Disembark, retaining your cabin on the ferry. Then enjoy a 3 hour guided tour of Helsinki- famous sights include the Senate Square, Uspenski Cathedral, Parliament House, Finlandia Hall, Sibelius Park & Monument, Underground Temple, and much more.

The afternoon is free - explore the busy market place or the many souvenir shops close to the harbour, or visit charming Suomenlinna Fortress, since 1991 on the UNESCO’s World Heritage List, and a unique monument to European military architecture. In the late afternoon make your own way back to the pier, for the return overnight ferry to Stockholm. Overnight in a 2-berth outside cabin with private facilities (with sole use of the cabin), with dinner on board. 

Day 12 Stockholm - Copenhagen 
Following breakfast, the ferry arrives back into Stockholm at 09:45hrs. The 12 day tour Oslo-Helsinki-Stockholm ends today after disembarkation breakfast with with a transfer to Stockholm's Arlanda Airport.

Other guests travel on by coach through southern Sweden to picturesque Lake Vattern and stop for lunch at a local restaurant. Then continue through the countryside via Jonkoping to Malmo, cross the Oresund Bridge from Sweden to Denmark and arrrive in wonderful Copenhagen in the early evening. Dinner tonight and 2 nights at the Admiral Hotel, located close to the Amalienborg Palace, the old Nyhavn harbour and the pedestrian streets.  

Day 13 Copenhagen Sightseeing & Tivoli Gardens
The day starts with a 3 hour guided panoramic tour of the city. Famous sights include Royal Amalienborg Palace, Christiansborg Palace (Danish Parliament Buildings), Gefion Fountain, Nyhavn and the Little Mermaid.

The afternoon free for exploring this fairytale city. Copenhagen is one of the best small cities in the world. With a history that dates back to 1043, the city is full of cultural landmarks, beautiful and significant buildings, charming waterways, interesting sights and museums. Walk down the shopping street Strøget, visit the Nyhavn area of lively bars and restaurants and sample some of the famous new Nordic Cuisine. Your tour escort will provide you with entrance tickets to the famous Tivoli Gardens. 2nd overnight at Admiral Hotel. (Please note dinner tonight is NOT included)

Day 14 Departure
Transfer from the hotel to Copenhagen's Kastrup Airport and end of arrangements.
