Itinerary

23 December Rovaniemi Arrival - Arctic SnowHotel

Shared scheduled transfer from Rovaniemi Airport to Arctic SnowHotel and Glass Igloos. The journey is approximately 40 minutes. Leave behind the lights and the city feel as you head towards the nature and wilderness. The hotel is located on the banks of the Lehtojärvi Lake, surrounded by pine trees and far away from the city lights, making it an ideal place for hunting the Northern Lights and enjoying starry skies. The hotel's Aurora Alarm searches the night skies for you. Dinner in the Kota Restaurant. Watch your food being prepared by traditional method over an open fire, the flames and slow cooking adding complexity to the taste. The glow fried salmon is recommended, with meat and vegetarian options also available. Stay 3 nights in a Glass Igloo and 1 night in a Snow Room.

Glass Igloos: Staying overnight in a Glass Igloo feels like sleeping out in the open, but inside the Igloo it is as warm and cosy as a hotel room. Have a good night's sleep as the Aurora Alarm searches the skies for you: if you are lucky enough for the Aurora Alarm to wake you up, all you need to do is open your eyes, look at the night sky and enjoy the Northern Lights from the comfort of your bed. Each Glass Igloo has a bathroom, thermal glass roof and heated floors. Small Igloos (1-3 people) or Family Glass Igloos (1-5 people) are available.
