A week full of Lappish culture, local food and fun. Enjoy great winter activities such as snowmobiling, snowshoeing, husky and reindeer sleigh rides. Hunt for the Aurora and have fun with local food tastes and sauna experiences. Based in the small eco village resort of Torassieppi, this is truly a wonderful winter holiday showcasing the real spirit of Lapland.
Day 1 Kittilä Arrival
Arrival at Kittilä airport and transfer to Torassieppi (approximately one hour) where you will be issued with your warm outer winter clothing, for use during your stay. Remainder of the day at leisure. Dinner at the hotel.
Days 2 - 7 Winter Activites
Reindeer Farm and Winter Village: visit a nearby 100-year-old unique Lappish farmhouse and a reindeer museum. Test your reindeer herder skills by throwing suopunki, a Lappish lasso, and driving a 3km round in the forest with a reindeer sled. A short walk brings you to the Winter Village with the ice restaurant, bar and impressive wall carvings. Lunch in a Lappish Kota hut.
Secrets of the Northern Lights: an informative workshop about the fascinating phenomenon of the Northern Lights, and the science behind it.
Aurora Snow Shuttle: let us shuttle you to an evening campfire into the quiet, snowy forest, far away from light pollution.
Husky Safari: the greatest way to see Lapland is on a silent dog sledding tour! Meet the happy huskies and enjoy an approx. 15km ride, two persons per sled. This tour takes place during the day.
Snowshoe Walk and Arctic Sauna World: visit the Pallas National Park, the largest fell area in western Lapland. Hike higher up the fell to catch the most beautiful views and breathe in the clean air. After snowshoeing relax in the Finnish saunas by Lake Jerisjärvi, and try out winter swimming, well known for its health benefits. Lunch at Jeris Lakeside Resort.
Snowmobile Safari: this 40km snowmobiling tour takes you to Harriniva Adventure Resort and Arctic Sled Dog Center, where you will meet the huskies. Lunch during the program.
Tastes of Finland: explore Finnish tastes and find out what Nordic folk loves to eat and drink!
Day 8 Kittilä Departure
Arrangements end after breakfast with your transfer to Kittilä airport.

Minimum age: 12 years
The small size of Torassieppi ensures a cosy village atmosphere. The double/twin rooms are located right next to the main building by Lake Toras-Sieppi, all with private facilities.
Optional cabin upgrade: the peaceful cabins with fireplace are suitable for 4 people and have two separate bedrooms, private facilities, fireplace and kitchenette. The slightly larger cabins for 4-6 people also offer a sauna and a living room with the possibility for an extra bed for two.

The excursions operate with a minimum of 2 persons - if you are a solo traveller and there is no second person booked on an excursion, you may be required to pay additional fees in order for the excursion to proceed.
The order of the excursions may alter according to the day of the week your arrangements start or they may change subject to weather conditions and other safety reasons. Some excursions subject to minimum age & height requirements.
Children under 18 years cannot drive the snowmobile or husky team. They will be sitting in the guide's sled during the safaris.
Snowmobile Safaris: To drive a snowmobile you must have a valid driving license and be 18 years of age or over. All single travellers must drive their own snowmobile solo.
