Day 1 Oslo Arrival

Upon arrival, make your own way to the hotel. Remainder of the day at leisure to explore – see the Fram polar ship, Munch Museum and the historic wharf area, now bustling with cafés, bars and shops. Overnight in a superior room at the Hotel Amerikalinjen or similar.

Day 2 Oslo - Dombas - Andalsnes - Geiranger

Train from Oslo to Dombås, then change for Andalsnes. Meet your driver in Andalsnes for a private car transfer to Hotel Union Geiranger. Geirangerfjord is the jewel in the crown of the Norwegian fjords. It is a fairytale landscape with its majestic, snow-covered mountain tops, wild and beautiful waterfalls, lush green vegetation and a deep, blue fjord. Dinner and overnight in a fjord view room at Hotel Union Geiranger.

Day 3 Geiranger - Hellesylt - Loen

Morning free to relax before midday ferry cruise on the lovely Geirangerfjord to Hellesylt. The Geirangerfjord is one of Norway's most visited tourist sites and has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2005. The fjord is host to several impressive waterfalls. The two most notable waterfalls in the Geirangerfjord are the Seven Sisters and the Suitor (also called 'the Wooer'). The two falls face one another across the fjord, and the Suitor is said to be trying to woo the sisters opposite. The Bridal Veil is another waterfall in the fjord, so named because it falls delicately over one rocky edge, and when seen backlit by the Sun it has the appearance of a thin veil over the rocks.

Meet your driver in Hellesylt for a private car transfer to Alexandra Hotel, Loen. On the inner Nordfjord, Loen has some of the most magnificent landscapes in Europe. Dinner and two nights in a superior room with fjord view at the lakeside Alexandra Hotel Loen, where you will enjoy the gastronomic delights of this area.

Optional Loen Skylift - cable car sightseeing ride from the fjord to the top of Mount Hoven, where you will have a 210-degree panoramic view overlooking Mt. Skåla and Lake Lovatnet in the east, Jostedalsbreen Glacier and Olden in the south, and the Nordfjord that winds its way towards Stryn in the west.

Day 4 Loen: Briksdal Glacier Excursion

Today take a bus to Briksdalen where you will board the quaint ‘Trollcar' for a tour of the glacier, a powerful sight stretching 1,200m down to the lush, narrow valley. An optional Safari Boat excursion on the lake in front of the glacier is offered, before returning to the hotel. 2nd overnight and dinner at Alexandra Hotel Loen.

Day 5 Loen - Skei - Sogndal - Flåm
