24 December Rovaniemi Arrival: Santa Claus Village - Arctic SnowHotel: Christmas Eve Dinner and Snow Suite overnight
Morning private transfer from Rovaniemi Airport to Santa Claus Village, Rovaniemi. Time at leisure to explore the village at your own pace, meet Santa Claus, visit Santa Claus' Main Post Office and cross the Arctic Circle. Entrance to Snowman World is included - an outdoor snowy playground. There are snow and ice slides, a labyrinth and ice skating rink.
Late afternoon shared shuttle transfer from Santa Claus Village to Arctic SnowHotel and Glass Igloos. The journey is approximately 25 minutes. Leave behind the lights and the city feel as you head towards the nature and wilderness. The hotel is located in Sinettä on the banks of the Lehtojärvi Lake, surrounded by pine trees and far away from the city lights, making it an ideal place for hunting the Northern Lights and enjoying starry skies. The hotel's Aurora Alarm searches the night skies for you. A traditional Christmas Eve Dinner is served in the Log Restaurant. Overnight at Arctic SnowHotel in a Snow Suite.
Snow Suites: are carved each year and always look different. The walls and furniture of these unique rooms are decorated with ice art and illuminated artwork. As you sleep on a transparent bed made of snow and ice, in a room with the temperature around -5° to -7C°, your sleeping bag made for extreme, Arctic conditions will ensure you stay warm and comfortable. Snow Suites have no electricity or water and bathroom facilities are located in a separate building nearby.
25 December Ice Fishing, E-Snowmobile Safari - Skyfire Village Igloo and Christmas Dinner
After your night in the Snow Suite, you can enjoy a Finnish Sauna. On today’s agenda is an Ice Fishing excursion and an electric Snowmobile Safari. Try Ice Fishing with a guide on a nearby lake. A light lunch is included. This afternoon your next adventure awaits - an electric Snowmobile Safari. After safety and driving instructions, travel into the Lappish nature in complete silence through the snowy forests. Two persons share each snowmobile and all drivers must hold an unrestricted drivers license. Height and age restrictions apply.
After this exhilarating excursion, you will be transferred to Skyfire Village, a retreat located approximately 15 minutes drive from Arctic Snowhotel and 1 hour drive from Rovaniemi city centre. Skyfire Village is in the middle of the Lappish wilderness where peace, silence and pure nature can be experienced at their best. The location is one of the best places in the world to see the Northern Lights (with the right weather conditions) and Lapland’s starry sky at their brightest. Thermal clothing is provided for the duration of your stay at Skyfire Village, an eco tourism destination, where you can enjoy true Lappish life with a touch of luxury.
Stay 3 nights at Skyfire Village in warm Igloo. Each Igloo is well-equipped and combines modern Nordic design with natural materials. From your comfortable bed you will have a clear view of the sky through the front panoramic window, to gaze out in search of the mystical Northern Lights. The atmospheric fireplace keeps the Igloo nice and cosy. Each Igloo has its own toilet but no shower. You will have a daily sauna slot, where you can enjoy a sauna and shower the typical Finnish way in the main building.
Christmas Dinner is served in the Kota Restaurant, which offers pure flavours of Lapland and atmospheric dining by the open fire.
26 December Reindeer Safari
Enjoy your morning at leisure, lapping up the silence and your beautiful surroundings at this special retreat. Lunch at Skyfire Village. In the afternoon, your true Finnish experience continues as you head to an authentic reindeer farm, operated by a local family. A reindeer sleigh ride is included, and you will have time to talk to the family about their way of life with reindeer. Late afternoon return to Skyfire Village. Dinner in the Kota Restaurant and 2nd overnight at Skyfire Village in a warm Igloo.
27 December Husky Safari
Enjoy your morning at leisure. Lunch at Skyfire Village. Afternoon transfer to a local husky farm, where eager huskies await. Spend time with the huskies, and participate as a driver of a husky sled (distance approximately 15km). After this thrilling experience transfer back to Skyfire Village. Dinner in the Kota Restaurant and 3rd overnight at Skyfire Village in a warm Igloo.
28 December Skyfire Village - Rovaniemi Departure
Private transfer to Rovaniemi Airport. End of arrangements.
