Day 3 Rovaniemi: Husky Safari and Evening Hunt for the Northern Lights

After breakfast, transfer to the local husky farm for an exciting and fun Husky Safari! The friendly barking of the excited huskies welcomes you and after a brief lesson, it's time to head off - as soon as the dogs start running, all you will hear is the swish of the sled runners, as you glide quietly across the snow. Stop for a break and a hot drink and the chance to switch drivers. On your return to the Husky Farm enjoy some hot juice around an open fire and listen to the "head musher" tell some stories about these amazing dogs. Two persons share each sled and children travel in a large sleigh pulled by the guide and the safari duration is 2.5hrs (sledding time about 1.15hrs). Transfer back to the village for dinner.

After dinner a Hunt for the Northern Lights awaits you. Transfer into the wilderness, away from the light pollution to one of the best spots to observe the Northern sky. Look up into the night sky for the elusive Aurora which may appear! Amongst the peace of nature, enjoy a hot drink and snack. 3rd overnight at Santa Claus Holiday Village.

Day 4 Rovaniemi: Day at Leisure

Breakfast at the village, then a day at leisure or perhaps join one of the great optional excursions available. Dinner and 4th overnight at Santa Claus Holiday Village.

Day 5 Rovaniemi - Arctic Snowhotel: Electric Snowmobile Safari and Overnight in an Ice Room

After safety and driving instructions, travel into the Lappish nature in complete silence. The journey begins in daylight with crossing the frozen lake Lehtojärvi and continues through the snowy forests. En-route stop at a cabin where you can warm yourself by a fire, enjoy some hot juice, sausages and cookies. Return as the daylight fades and the stars begin to light up the Northern sky. The duration of the snowmobile safari is approx. 2.5hrs/15-20kms. Two persons share each snowmobile and all drivers must hold an unrestricted drivers licence. *Height and age restrictions apply.

Close to the Arctic Circle you will find the tranquillity of the Arctic SnowHotel, located on the banks of the Lehtojärvi Lake, around 26km from Rovaniemi town centre.
