Finnish Lapland is a true winter wonderland, as a layer of fluffy white snow covers the landscape and makes the trees, lakes and plains sparkle in the sunlight. On this adventure you will stay in Levi, Finland's biggest ski resort, where you have the chance to enjoy two days of skiing on a huge variety of runs. Included in your tour arrangements are four nights accommodation with daily breakfast, return airport transfers, a Husky Safari through the peaceful Finnish forest, and the thrill of speed on a Snowmobile Safari. Itinerary

Day 1 Kittilä Arrival - Levi

Arrival in Kittilä Airport, and transfer to Levi, the biggest ski resort in Finland, located in the Fell Lapland 170km above the Arctic Circle and in the heart of large wilderness areas. Levi Fell village is a charming, small holiday town, which offers a wide range of first-rate services. Accommodation in Levi for four nights at the Original Sokos Hotel or similar.

Day 2 Levi Day at Leisure

After breakfast perhaps it is time to hit the slopes. In Levi there are slopes available for downhill skiers and for snowboarders, for beginners or for advanced skiers, as well as for children, with everything from wide family runs with lots of space to carve your tracks, to challenging steep slopes which whet the appetite of more accomplished and even expert skiers. There are altogether 45 slopes and for those who need coaching Levi has an international Ski School (with six different teaching languages). Your ski hire and tickets can be purchased directly through the Levi Ski resort. 2nd overnight in Levi.

Day 3 Levi Day at Leisure

Breakfast at the hotel. Today you might continue testing the slopes of Levi or even change the type of skis and roam the Finnish forests on cross country skis. Levi has 230km of prepared crosscountry tracks on which you can enjoy the silence and freedom of the winter wonderland around you. Just breathe and let the fresh air flood your lungs. 3rd overnight in Levi.

Day 4 Levi Husky Safari & Snowmobile Safari

After breakfast, transfer from the village to the husky farm. Meet the dogs and puppies, and after a lesson on mushing, we head out on a fantastic 10km husky safari through the beautiful taiga forests, with two persons sharing the driving of each sled. After the safari, enjoy hot berry juice while listening to stories about the husky dogs, before your transfer back to the village.

This afternoon, after a short safety and driving briefing, you'll be ready for your snowmobile tour. Driving past incredible winter scenery, with two persons sharing the driving of each snowmobile, as you travel through the snowy landscapes on a thrilling and fun adventure. This experience introduces you to the unforgettable Lappish nature as you snowmobile through snowy forests and over frozen lakes.  4th overnight in Levi.

Day 5 Levi - Kittilä Departure

Breakfast, transfer to Kittilä Airport and end of arrangements.

Optional extend your stay by one night with a Glass Igloo overnight at Levin Iglut, located on the slope of a fell at a height of 340m, just 10km from Levi town centre. The unobstructed view of the northern sky from the slope makes an ideal place for admiring the Northern Lights, should they appear. The Igloos are equipped with private facilities; transfers, dinner and breakfast are included.

Notes:

Snowmobile Safaris: To drive a snowmobile you must have a valid, unrestricted driving license and be 18 years or over. If there is an uneven number of adults in your party, or you are travelling alone, one adult must drive solo for which a supplement is payable. Children usually travel in a sled pulled by the guide's snowmobile. The guide has the discretion to decide who may or may not drive.

Husky Safaris: Children under 18 years usually travel in a sled driven by the guide but, in some circumstances, may be allowed to sit in a sled driven by a parent or adult family member. The guide has the discretion to decide who may or may sit in a sled driven by an adult and who must sit in the guide's sled.
