This morning enjoy a snowshoe hike, a great way to enjoy the amazing views, and experience a very traditional mode of transport! The trip is suitable for beginners - general fitness but no prior experience is needed, and the trip includes transfer from Flåm by minibus to Stegastein, where the hike begins (*January-March only). After returning to Flåm, there is time for you to relax before you get ready for some fun on the fjord! Your fjord tour takes you deep into the Nærøyfjord, to the charming little village of Undredal. Along the way stops will be made where your local guide will explain about the rich wildlife of the area, the distinctive nature and the cultural history of the tiny villages and local farms scattered along the fjord. The many waterfalls will be frozen solid; the fjord is calm, the water clear and the snow lies just like frosting on the high, steep mountains. On the return from the Nærøyfjord stop at Undredal, idyllically situated on the shores of the fjord, surrounded by high mountains. With its 85 inhabitants and 450 goats it truly is a special little village. In Undredal, visit the local shop for hot drinks and hear from one of the locals about life along the fjord. *December departures will include an evening cultural walk in Flåm instead of the snowshoe hike.
